Over the moon with this one 💙

This is Chris Short (pictured), who came down to our showroom with his good friend Dick Duggan, who travelled with him from Swindon. Dick, who runs a line dancing company (Rise & Line Swindon), organised a fundraising event on Saturday night to support Chris.

They were hoping to raise £500… but absolutely smashed it and raised an incredible £1,050! 👏

Chris chose a Pride C**t Pursuit (worth £1,450), and after hearing their story, we were more than happy to help bridge the gap and contribute the remaining £400 so he could take it home.

A huge thank you to Chris and Dick — what a fantastic effort and a brilliant example of true friendship. We’re so glad we could be part of this journey.

We are looking for a practical, hands-on individual to join our workshop team preparing and maintaining mobility scooters and related equipment. This role mainly involves cleaning, preparing, inspecting, and carrying out minor repairs to ensure equipment is safe and ready for customer use.

No formal qualifications are required — full training will be provided. However, you must be mechanically minded, confident using basic tools, and have good common sense.

Key Responsibilities

- Cleaning and preparing mobility scooters for resale or hire

- Carrying out basic servicing and minor repairs

- Replacing parts such as batteries, tyres, and small components

- Inspecting equipment to ensure it is safe and fully functional

- Assisting with general workshop duties

- Keeping the workshop clean and organised

- Reporting any faults or issues to senior staff

Requirements

- No formal qualifications required

- Full training provided on the job

- Experience using hand and power tools preferred

- Mechanically minded with practical problem-solving skills

- Good common sense and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Reliable and punctual
