We are looking for a practical, hands-on individual to join our workshop team preparing and maintaining mobility scooters and related equipment. This role mainly involves cleaning, preparing, inspecting, and carrying out minor repairs to ensure equipment is safe and ready for customer use.

No formal qualifications are required — full training will be provided. However, you must be mechanically minded, confident using basic tools, and have good common sense.

Key Responsibilities

- Cleaning and preparing mobility scooters for resale or hire

- Carrying out basic servicing and minor repairs

- Replacing parts such as batteries, tyres, and small components

- Inspecting equipment to ensure it is safe and fully functional

- Assisting with general workshop duties

- Keeping the workshop clean and organised

- Reporting any faults or issues to senior staff

Requirements

- No formal qualifications required

- Full training provided on the job

- Experience using hand and power tools preferred

- Mechanically minded with practical problem-solving skills

- Good common sense and attention to detail

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Reliable and punctual

A big shoutout to Steve from Worthing! 👏

He came in to collect his Motion E Move 8 scooter that he only ordered this morning — now that’s service! 🚀

Steve loves getting out to play bowls, and now with his new scooter, he has the freedom and independence to enjoy his games whenever he likes. Because he doesn’t have a charging point outside, he chose the EMove 8, as the removable batteries mean he can easily charge them in his flat. 🔋🏠

We even threw in a free scooter cover, as he’ll be keeping it locked up outside.
