We are looking for a practical, hands-on individual to join our workshop team preparing and maintaining mobility scooters and related equipment. This role mainly involves cleaning, preparing, inspecting, and carrying out minor repairs to ensure equipment is safe and ready for customer use.
No formal qualifications are required — full training will be provided. However, you must be mechanically minded, confident using basic tools, and have good common sense.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing mobility scooters for resale or hire
- Carrying out basic servicing and minor repairs
- Replacing parts such as batteries, tyres, and small components
- Inspecting equipment to ensure it is safe and fully functional
- Assisting with general workshop duties
- Keeping the workshop clean and organised
- Reporting any faults or issues to senior staff
Requirements
- No formal qualifications required
- Full training provided on the job
- Experience using hand and power tools preferred
- Mechanically minded with practical problem-solving skills
- Good common sense and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual
