Last call for tomorrow mini yoga retreat.

Perfect if you’re feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated and need some space to relax.

The afternoon will begin with a meditation then move into a slow flow before breaking for tea, snacks and journaling. After this we head into a restorative flow and then a delicious yoga nidra.

No experience necessary, just a willingness to sloooooow down 🙏🏻

Ostara blessings to you all 🌸

As the earth awakens, may you find balance, renewal, and fresh energy not just in your practice but in all aspects of your life. As we celebrate the Spring Equinox where the day provides equal daytime and equal nighttime we are invited to look to our own lives, do we have an equal balance? If not are there any small changes that can be made to bring more balance to your life?

Now is the time to have a think about some Spring intentions, what would you like to unfurl over the coming months? See if you can set aside some time over the next few days to check in with yourself, is everything how you would like to be?

Named after the goddess Ostara, a symbol of dawn, fertility, and renewal, this sacred time honours rebirth and balance. Like her, rise with light, nurture growth, and welcome transformation on and off the mat.

It’s light in the studio for my Thursday class now!

I saw a post the other day about marketing your yoga classes, it said to never show how many mats are out or to share a picture without people on the mats as it looks like the class is empty. I really disagree with this. We all want full classes but the reality is sometime numbers drop off and classes get very small. Small to the point of it not really being sustainable to continue holding the class, to the point where you second guess your ability, where you doubt your offering but then they increase again or maybe they don’t but you’re happy with the numbers. I’ve taught full classes, sold out retreats within 24 hours and covered classes that are too full. At the moment my numbers are smaller, my retreat on Saturday has spaces and I’ve had a period of self doubt BUT it’s through talking and sharing with other yoga teachers that this is also happening for them. By sharing it helps as you know it isn’t you it’s just the season or all people are having a bit of a dip at the moment. I try to remember that the people that really need it are there on that given day. By sharing the rough alongside the good it shows it’s not all roses and that might make another person feel less alone. Not sure I’ve quite articulated what I meant to but if your classes are smaller at the moment, your retreats still have spaces know that this shall pass and the people that need you will find you.

I have a couple of spaces available for my mini yoga retreat next Saturday. It’s 1:30-4:30pm at Salt Water Studios in Worthing. Perfect for all levels and a beautiful taster for beginners. We move at our own pace, focusing on how it feels and not how it looks.

Through guided yoga practices, meditation, breathwork, and mindful rituals, we will honor this natural turning point as an opportunity for renewal and growth. Just as the earth awakens from winter, this retreat offers space to release what no longer serves you and plant new seeds for the months ahead.

It’s set to be a beautiful afternoon of calm connection with tea and homemade snacks provided.

Reflecting on a beautiful mini retreat yesterday afternoon. I love holding these spaces for women, it’s such a privilege and something I don’t take lightly or for granted. I love the planning, deciding what treats to make, the soundtracks to use and the feeling I’d like to try and cultivate. And then to have it all come together on the day is amazing. Thank you to those that put their trust in me and for the beautiful energy you bring ❤️

*** Fully Booked ❤️🧘🏻‍♀️🙏🏻 Thank you so much ❤️ ***

In a world where rest is shunned, winter reminds us to slow down. This restorative yoga retreat is an invitation to follow nature’s quieter rhythm—to pause, soften, and turn inward. Surrounded by the stillness of the season, we’ll practice deeply supported restorative yoga, gentle breathwork, and intentional rest, allowing the body and nervous system to replenish as the earth does in winter.

I have been asked for a little while to hold a daytime beginners block so here it is!

Starting next week, 7th January 1:30-2:30pm and going through until the 11th February you will be introduced to Hatha Yoga. Tuning in and listening to your body and not forcing anything.

My aim is to share yoga, shedding the images often portrayed in social media and showing that you don’t need to be flexible to practice, you don’t need fancy clothes and all are welcome.

A very sped up flow from me today. This is the first video I’ve put up of me flowing through an albeit brief practice. Even after teaching 3 classes a week, mini retreats and Menoyoga workshops for nearly 2 years I still have huge imposter syndrome. I recently saw a post by my yoga teacher that spoke about how yoga is depicted in social media, the way it’s presented by the majority of the yoga influencers and if I’m honest it’s played a huge part in why I feel like I do. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking recently about how to overcome this and have realised that I’m just me in my messy, unfiltered self. I’ve got super tight hamstrings and lower back from all the other exercise that I have done over the years and I’ll never be able to fold myself in half or back to front and that’s ok. Inversions in the context of headstands and handstands just don’t do it for me. Coupled with the fact that I’m highly Perimenopausal which affects my balance at times I’ve always been pretty clumsy and would probably stack it 😂 so maybe it’s time I shared the raw, wobbly and real side of my personal practice. The one where sometimes I only have 5 minutes to breathe properly or 20 minutes to flow and that ok. That’s what I need and what I can do with the time I have and maybe, just maybe that’s ok.
