Food noise can be exhausting.

Constant thoughts about what to eat, what not to eat, what you should have eaten, or how to make up for it later. It can feel like food takes up far more mental space than you want it to.

Emotional eating is often not about hunger. It is usually about coping. Stress, anxiety, loneliness, overwhelm, even boredom. Food can soothe, distract, or numb in the short term. That makes sense. Your nervous system is trying to regulate.

The difficulty comes when guilt follows. When restriction begins. When the cycle tightens.
