We ALWAYS try to deter families from using such companies because we know exactly how they work. We worked alongside one of them when we first opened, but as soon as we saw how they collected the deceased from our branch, we terminated our contract with them. Every single person should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of whether they are having a direct cremation or a full funeral service.

We believe that these companies are targeting the vulnerable by telling them that it is better to not leave a bill for their loved ones after they have gone. They then pay it per month before they pass away, putting their mind at rest that their loved ones can grieve in peace. What these people are actually getting for their money is disgusting and we wouldn’t treat an animal the way that they treat humans.

With a local Funeral Directors, you know where your loved one is at all times, you know that the cremation will take place at your local Crematorium, and you know that you will get the cremated remains back within a few days instead of weeks! Some Funeral Directors like us offer more in their Direct Cremation package, so you actually get more for your money. We don't discriminate because somebody wants a Direct Cremation, we treat every single person the same. In our Direct Cremation Package, we allow viewing in our chapel of rest in and out of hours, we allow the person to be dressed in their own clothes, we allow keepsakes to be taken such as fingerprints and hair, and we allow the family to come to the Crematorium to see their loved one be taken inside, all at no extra cost. We would rather have a Direct Cremation like this than one like theirs. How about you?

This is fantastic news for the people of Wrexham and beyond.

We are pleased to announce the introduction of seven-day and after 3pm admissions to our Inpatient Unit.📆

Timely access to hospice care is essential for our patients, and their families. Tracy Thomas, Clinical and Patient Services Director explains what this means in practice:

“Illness doesn’t follow a Monday to Friday schedule. People’s needs can change very quickly, and often this happens over a weekend when options have traditionally been more limited. By introducing seven-day admissions, we’re able to respond in real time, ensuring patients can access urgent hospice care when they need it.”

This improvement has been made possible through further investment in our clinical teams, delivered without any additional funding.

Alongside this, we have also introduced greater flexibility in the timings of admissions. We are now able to admit patients later in the day, which has significantly improved access to our services.

We remain responsive to the needs of the community, with urgent inpatient care available when it is needed. 🩵

Our office may be closed today due to the bank holiday, but our duties don’t stop because of this. Sometimes we take our work home with us, so that a job is done perfectly instead of being rushed. One of those jobs is sorting out music for upcoming funeral services. Once the album has been created, and then burnt onto disc, we let the CD run though to make sure that there are no errors on it. Every little detail of a service, whether big or small, is checked thoroughly beforehand, so that there are no issues or mistakes on the day.

Good Afternoon,

Below you will find our office Easter opening hours. The office will be closed for the next four days, however, should any of our current clients wish to see their loved one in the chapel of rest, you are more than welcome to. Just give us a call and make an appointment with us.

Remember, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even during bank holiday weekends, so don’t feel like you can’t reach out to us during this time. For all non-urgent enquiries, we recommend that you email us. If we don’t see the email beforehand, we will respond when back in the office on Tuesday, 7th April.
