🧱 This was definitely a labour of love, I throughly enjoyed working in this home and uncovering the little “quirks” that had been used to restore it over the years.

🧱 Taking this back to its former glory, and making it look fantastic was an incredible job to do

🧱 The difference reaching the brick made around the window with matching stones alongside the lime repointing was incredible to watch come to life

🧱 These are the special ones, the ones we need to looks after - there is many more sides to this project to share

👷🏽 Lime repointing is a specialized, traditional restoration technique essential for repairing and enhancing historic brick or stone buildings. Unlike modern, rigid cement, lime mortar is soft, flexible, and breathable, allowing moisture to evaporate naturally, preventing damp, and preserving the structural integrity of older masonry

There has been a huge increase in new page likes, follows and new clients the last couple of months

I am Amy, I’m 43 this year, I am the face behind the name, I own and run Bare-Faced aesthetics. I am married to Scott, and have two children, Oliver and Matilda.

My clinic, Bare Faced Aesthetics is based in Cefn mawr.

There is only me there, it’s not pretentious, there is not a massive waiting room, and you are seen on a 1-1 basis.

I understand the dread of a busy salon for some clients, so this is important to me.
It is a clinical environment. With all the safety the tia required for clinical procedures.

You would not go to your friends bedroom to see a nurse or doctor for a procedure, injectables should be the same

I have been a qualified nurse for over 17 years, and have built up a wealth of knowledge in this role, and I have been practicing in aesthetics for the last 7 years.

I have worked in the NHS, in surgery for the majority of my career and high clinical standards, and safety are paramount to my treatments.

I now work as a private nurse alongside my aesthetics clinic

I trained at one of the industries leading cosmetic schools, and learnt from one of best cosmetic doctors.

I have under taken advanced courses in both dermal fillers, and Anti wrinkle treatments, alongside the other treatments I offer.

I am also trained in procedure complications, as your safety is the upmost importance to me. Nobody likes to think about the “what ifs”, but when choosing a clinic to visit, knowing your practitioner is more than just a injector should be important to you.

Being a advanced practitioner allows me the knowledge and skill to be able to assess each client individually, and give a tailored bespoke treatment for them. We don’t all want to look the same. I have had clients say they chose me because I didn’t look over done 😂 That’s exactly the magic I am after 🪄🖤

🧱 The General Builder’s Method, the Mortar is pasted on and smoothed flat. This "irons" the surface, sealing the pores and trapping water inside your bricks, which leads to damp and rot.

🧱 If The mortar is pasted on top of the bricks, creating a "shelf" that catches water and causes massive freeze-thaw damage in winter.

Does your builder know the difference between pasting and compacting? If he’s work with lime we better hope so!

👷🏽 The importance of grinding out to the correct depth, having the knowledge to correctly choose the materials and depth of repointing to best suit the building is something we specialise in.
