PREPPING a driver for battle starts long before race day, and involves more than just keeping them cool with a bottle and umbrella.
As a coach we look after elements including strength and cardio conditioning, flexibility, nutrition, hydration, sleep, jet lag mitigation, injury and heat management and dealing with normal life stuff that might be going on.
On the outside we aim to keep calm and cool but underneath our brains are watching, evaluating and processing several things at once all day!
All with the sole purpose of keep the driver and team ready to go!
