WOW. What a way to start the week.

We have been nominated for the Community Impact Award at the 2026 Good Funeral Awards.

It’s hard to put into words what this truly means. Every day, we are trusted to support families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. To be recognised for the impact we have within our community is incredibly humbling.

We have received this lovely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Trustpilot review over the weekend.

Thank you so much for your kind words and recommendation. It truly means a great deal to know that you felt supported with both professionalism and compassion during such an important time. Treating every person with the utmost respect is at the heart of everything we do and I’m grateful you trusted us to be part of that journey. If you ever need anything you know where we are.

We are so pleased to read this. Regulation can’t come quick enough.

We are so pleased to read this. Regulation can’t come quick enough.

We welcome the announcement from Health Secretary Wes Streeting MP on plans to lead on the regulation of the funeral sector.

For families, this matters. Everyone deserves to know their loved one will be treated with dignity, respect and care and that those who fall short will be held to account.

For our profession, it’s equally important that any changes recognise the reality: the vast majority of funeral professionals uphold the highest standards every day, supporting people through their most difficult moments with compassion and integrity.

We will work with Government to help shape regulation that protects the public, while standing up for the professionalism and commitment of our members.

Dignity in death isn’t optional but the standard our profession is built on

We felt truly humbled and honoured to be invited to the opening of Yarm Wellness new outdoor space this afternoon.

It was fantastic to see volunteers, community groups, local services and businesses all come together to celebrate such an important milestone. The sense of community spirit was incredible.

We are very proud to both volunteer with and sponsor Yarm Wellness, an organisation that continues to do so much good for people across our community.

There’s also an open day taking place tomorrow (Saturday 18th April) from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. If you can, pop down, take a look around and experience the amazing new outdoor space and wellbeing shed.

We have received this lovely ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review overnight.

Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. They truly mean a great deal to us.

It was an absolute honour to support you and your brother and care for your Dad in arranging a service that reflected exactly what he wanted. I’m so pleased we were able to create a fitting and personal send-off for him. It was also very special to have had the opportunity to meet your Dad before he passed away when we discussed his funeral arrangements, something I feel truly honoured to have been part of.

Supporting families during such a difficult time is at the heart of everything we do and I’m glad you felt cared for and kept informed throughout. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s ever anything more I can do for you and your family.

Thank you again for your recommendation and the trust you placed in us, it is genuinely appreciated.

We’re incredibly proud to have been invited by Teesside Hospice to support this year’s Dying Matters Week. An important national campaign led by Hospice UK encouraging open and honest conversations about death, dying and grief.

This year, Teesside Hospice are hosting their very first Dying Matters Conference and we’re honoured to be part of it.

📅 Tuesday 5th May 2026
📍 Teesside University Students' Union

We’ll have a dedicated area set up throughout the day where anyone attending can come and speak with us. Whether you have questions about funerals or simply want some guidance.

I’ve also been asked to deliver a talk during one of the breakout sessions, where I’ll be discussing:

• The role of the Funeral Director.
• How funerals have evolved over time.
• Supporting families with Dignity and Kindness.

This is such an important opportunity to bring our community together, break down barriers and normalise conversations that many find difficult.
The event is free to attend and open to everyone.

You can register here, https://www.teessidehospice.org/events/dying-matters-conference/
