We use exercise to improve our wellbeing, as exercise can offer a sense of achievement and releases happy hormones in the brain. We mainly play badminton and table tennis, and we also arrange Yoga, Tai Chi and Martial Arts sessions. We're using our page to raise funds and donations while encouraging referrals, so we can keep our exercise group going for years to come. We're passionate about using exercise to improve mental wellbeing for those with mental ill health.

Since February, I've cared for my parents, almost every weekend, since my Dad's operation.

My mum had multiple strokes eight years ago and now has caring needs. So my Dad is Mum's main carer.

I also work in care during the week.

Today, is my first weekend of rest. However, do we know how to rest in 2022? Is social media, television, going for walks, getting up late restful? Do we rest better with other people or on our own?

So I walked into Bristol City Centre, after a restful or unrestful lazy morning. I brought this book, written by Claudia Hammond. It covers the difference between sleep and rest, the rest deficit, the effects of too much rest, and the results of a rest test survey.

Although I just started reading this book, I recommend it. However, if you find non fiction reading boring, then please listen to a podcast or watch YouTube videos about rest. As too little or too much rest can effect your life.

It's obesity awareness week. These photos of me shows years of prioritising regular exercise. Careful eating. And learning about food, drink and exercise, so I get the balance right (and I'm still learning). A healthier lifestyle is different for each person. So find what works for you and do it often.

It's obesity awareness week. A chance to review our physical activities and diet, so we achieve and sustain a healthy weight. It also regulates our heart, lungs, blood sugar and cholesterol. This means more energy and a better quality of life. For me, health and fitness is a journey, a process, rath...

It's November the 1st!! The clocks have gone forward and it's feeling more wintery.

However, wrap up warm and take a walk to and around your local park. Why?

- It's free
- you'll get your vitamin D
- you'll engage with nature
- It's mood uplifting
- it clears the mind
- it promotes creative ideas
- it reduces stress and anxiety
- It's exercise, so it supports our weight management.
