Hi everyone, I’m Rachael 👋

Some of you may already know me as the person behind Songbirds, the local women’s choir that I run with a friend. I’ve always loved music and the way singing can instantly lift your mood, boost confidence and bring people together.

After years of being part of choirs and community music projects (and now running one myself!), I realised that although lots of people love the idea of singing, a choir doesn’t always feel like the right fit. Some people can’t commit to rehearsals every week, and others would love to sing but don’t quite feel confident enough to join a choir yet.

That’s what inspired me to start Show Up & Sing.

It’s a relaxed, friendly singing session for adults where you can literally just turn up and sing. No auditions, no pressure, and no long-term commitment... just a welcoming group of people, some great songs, and an hour of doing something that feels really good.

I really believe everyone deserves a little music in their day, and singing together is one of the simplest ways to boost your mood.

If you love singing, used to sing and miss it, or have always wanted to give it a go, feel free to say hi or ask me about the sessions.

Also… highly important question: what’s your ultimate sing-along song in the car? I personally think of mine as my personal, mobile performance booth 🎶🚗

A fun packed day in the big city 🇬🇧
A tour of St Paul’s Cathedral, exploring the depths of the impressive crypt where Nelson was laid to rest.
We climbed over 500 steps to the golden gallery and the views were so worth it! 👓
We definitely earnt ourselves a treat at and found two awesome gluten free bakery stalls to choose from and - yummo 😋
Finally, the reason for our trip, a holosomantic breathwork session from 🧘‍♀️
The atmosphere was incredible and we felt so light afterwards. There was chanting, tapping, releasing and setting of new intentions… all from the comfort of our seats 👌

We’re off to our 3rd bungee beginners class today 🎉
It’s a lot of fun, some chaffing and plenty of dangling in a heap connected to the ceiling 🤣

Looking forward to learning some new moves tonight - we especially like the ones where we get to fly through the air 🦸‍♀️

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has danced online with me this past year with Joyful Movement 💃

One thing I’ve learnt about retiring from Zumba is that dance is so important for our souls, health and mood!

Although I haven’t been able to connect in person with you (which I have missed so much), knowing that we have connected online in some way has been a huge help in the transition we’ve had in the past year with our move and saying goodbye to my awesome class members and zumba community 😢

The last opportunity to dance online (with your joyful living tribe login) is tomorrow before the website is no more on the 15th. This isn’t the end though, I know that some form of movement will be a part of my future and as soon as the house is more finished I can dedicate my time to that.
