🩸 Blood Donors Needed For Our Database🩸
Unfortunately, there is currently a shortage of pet blood - particularly red blood cells - and so we have been having difficulty sourcing any from our usual supplier, Pet Blood Bank UK
We would love to have a list of some of our lovely patients who would be willing to be a donor in an emergency situation, should another of our patients need any.
🐶 For dogs, the ideal donor would be: 🐶
❤️ Between the age of 1 and 8 years old
❤️ Fully fit and healthy, and weighing over 25kgs
❤️ Have never travelled outside of the UK
❤️ Not on any medication and be fully vaccinated
❤️ Have a good temperament and not get stressed when at the vets
🐱 For our feline patients, the ideal cat donor would be: 🐱
❤️ Between the ages of 1 and 10 years old
❤️ Fully fit and healthy, and weighing over 4kgs
❤️ Up to date with flea, worming and vaccinations
❤️ Never travelled outside of the UK
❤️ Not on any medication currently, and have never had a blood transfusion themselves
