— UNPLUG to RECONNECT —

Rest is much needed after a full-on tournament weekend and weeks of essays, studying, and counselling work. My body–mind–soul are whispering (actually… shouting 😅) that they’re on edge and craving a deep, well-deserved pause. So this weekend, I’m taking time off from being “seen.” We’re doing our little tradition again — a DIGITAL DETOX Weekend.

So, my Soulful Wanderers,
Listen to your body.
Listen to your mind.
Listen to your soul.
They’ll always tell you when something is out of balance, and they’ll always know what you need to realign.
Give yourself the rest you deserve.
Recharge.
Rebalance.
Then rise again and conquer the world in your own time, your own pace. 💛

— GROWTH HAPPENS when COMFORT ENDS —

Back from an intense, soul-stretching weekend in Liverpool for the K*k Sool Won UK Tournament + National Testing + Black Belt Training. What a ride… in every sense.

Car broke down, body pushed to the limit, nerves tested, skills expanded, new friends made.

You never know your true potential until you push pass the edge.

Here are our best smiles to celebrate another powerful K*k Sool experience.

At the end of today, when all of our legs are up.

👨🏾‍🦲: Do you know what I like about today?
👩🏻: It didn’t crush us?
👨🏾‍🦲: Yeah, we still have our spirits up high and had a good laugh. As you said “Money loss but people saved”.

Let me wrap the day up for you in short.

- 2:30am: Wake up
- 3am: Left the house, heading to Liverpool for KSW National Testing.
- 7am: Car decided to take its early retire, just 1 hour shy from the destination (178 miles/ 286km away from home)
- 7:30am: Tough choice made, family split. No time to waste, Mom and Son changed to uniforms in the middle of the road.
- 8am: Mom and Son taking an expensive Uber to the Testing, Dad stayed behind sorting out the car
- 8:30am: Son having bad stomachache, ranking 8/10 (10 as the worse)
- 9am: arrived at the Testing in a niche of time. Tough choice made, Son had to man up, went straight to Testing.
- At this point, Mom was separated from Son and nearly had a mental breakdown. After all the chaos just passed, she had to pull herself together for her Testing and watch Son in despair.
- 10am: Son still standing strong, Mom relieved.
- 12pm: Testing finished, message from Dad on the train coming to Liverpool. A KSW friend offered a lift to train station along with many other offers (much grateful 🙏)
- 1pm: Family reunited. Spirits back up. A nice meal treat, Vietnamese restaurant obviously 🤪
- 3pm: Taking a 40 minutes walk to AirBnB, playing games, chatting away, laughing. As long as they’re together they can run the world.

Haha not really a short summary, is it. We reminded each other, if something bad happens and you let it beating you up, who is suffering? Why suffer when no one else does?

Despite all the chaos, we still found joy 🤪🥰🤩

— WE CAN CHOOSE OUR THOUGHTS —

🧠 Recently, I noticed my brain works like this:� If I let my automatic thoughts roam freely, they naturally pull me into the things I worry about most. ➡️ The more I think about those worries…the deeper those neural paths become. ➡️ It’s like feeding the same loop again and again.

🧠 So this week, I tried something different: Every time I caught myself drifting into an unpleasant memory or fear. ➡️ I gently chose a new thought — something lighter, calmer, or a good experience.

At first, it felt awkward… almost confusing. Like learning a new language inside my own mind. But the more I practised, the easier it became. And after just one week, I’m honestly surprised at how FREE my mind feels, and how light my days feel.

✨Choosing your thoughts DOESN’T MEAN REJECTING your past or feelings. Even the uncomfortable feelings have the right to exist. However, you’re not their slave. Don’t let them control your whole day. You can acknowledge them … and still choose a different direction for your mind.

�✨ We can choose our thoughts.
�✨ We can reshape our inner patterns.�
✨ We just need to practise this small act of awareness and choice.

In the current world we live in, success is usually labelled with career and finance. It is right but not enough. Do you know success in life has so many types?

🌙 WHEN THE LIGHT FADES

It’s that time of the year again — when the days grow shorter, the sky turns darker, and the mood sinks lower.
For some, depression deepens.

I’m wondering … WHAT HELPS YOU GET THROUGH THE DARKER MONTHS?

There are few words that have been sitting with me lately, gentle reminders that light still exists, even when we can’t see it:
✨ “You’ve survived 100% of your bad days so far.”
✨ “It’s okay not to be okay.”
✨ “Your current situation isn’t your final destination.”
✨ “Depression isn’t a weakness — it’s a sign you’ve been strong for too long.”

We are not meant to bloom all year round. Even the Earth rests. The darkness will pass, as it always does. 🌒
So if you find yourself slowing down or feeling sad, remember - you’re not broken. You’re simply in season.

For me, what helps is keeping small rituals — lighting a candle as the day fades, stepping outside to feel real daylight, and letting myself move slower without guilt.
A warm drink, gentle music, or a simple check-in with a friend can bring more comfort than we realise.

✨ PRESENCE over ADVICE ✨

So often, we feel the urge to help by giving advice, sharing insights, or finding solutions. But this week, I was reminded: the most healing thing we can offer is not our advice … but our presence.

I saw this clearly in my counselling placement with a young person. I noticed myself slipping into “fixing mode” - high expectations, pressure of limited sessions, trying too hard to apply theory. I wanted to help create change quickly. And doing that, I lost touch with the person in front of me, I felt stuck.

After reflecting this, I let go of the need to “fix” and simply showed up, everything shifted.

And you know what happened?
💫 She smiled when I played with slime alongside her
💫 She shared her plans and stories while we coloured on the floor
💫 She showed me her world, and I simply showed interest

And it made me realise�
🌱 Children don’t always need advice, they need our presence.�
🌱 Friends may not need fixing, just someone who truly listens.�
🌱 Even we sometimes don’t need answers, only a safe space to be.

💎 WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? 💎

Sitting on the sofa chilling as usual, a light bulb just flashed through my head. And realized that the answer to the “grand question” is there all along, right in our face, and we all know it already. It’s so near, yet so far because we always keep searching but never stop to see it.

Now pause for a second and answer me. What do we call ourselves, animals and plants on this planet?
LIVING BEINGS!

That’s it, the meaning of life is to live and to be. It’s NOT to seek, to quest or to find. We live to give meaning to our own lives.
