DAO Treatment Explained 👇
The depressor anguli oris (DAO) muscles are the small muscles that pull the corners of the mouth downward.
Overactive DAOs can make the mouth rest in a slight frown, giving a tired or unhappy appearance even when you feel fine.
Our medical prescriber may use a prescription-only botulinum toxin medicine to relax this muscle.
This can help:
• soften a downturned mouth
• create a more balanced, uplifted expression
• reduce tension in the lower face
