The main problem I see with injuries is that when rehab has been prescribed, it’s not progressed far enough. Often rehab exercises start with the very basics to start to restore joint/muscle range of motion and reduce pain. Once that pain has gone, we think we are “fixed” and then go straight back to our normal activity. Sometimes this will be fine, however the risk of re-injury is high. Often what is missed is progressing that to build strength, resilience and make that area stronger than it was pre injury. Being pain free is just be the beginning!
