Last week we had the pleasure of fitting Mrs Campbell with her new spectacles 👓✨

Exciting news!✨

After completing training with Topcon today, we’re delighted to share that we’ll soon be offering a new treatment option for Dry Eye relief. In addition, patients with Dry Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) will have access to a new therapy designed to help slow the progression of the condition.

At the start of the week, our practice partners, managers and senior leadership headed to Birmingham to visit the ZEISS offices.
From our Yeovil branch, Ben and Simon (Practice Partners & Optometrists) were joined by Jacinda (Practice Manager) and Becky (Student Dispensing Optician) for a brilliant day of learning and connection.

The team enjoyed an in-depth lab tour to see how ZEISS lenses are crafted to the highest standard, along with educational sessions to deepen our knowledge and ensure we continue offering our patients the very best care, advice and service.🥼👓

After a full day of learning, we squeezed in some festive exploring at the Christmas markets before ending the evening with a lovely meal out. 🎄✨

Trips like this help us strengthen relationships across the company — and with our ZEISS buddies!💙

Last Saturday, our practice was closed as our team came together for a full day of training and professional development. The day focused on furthering our knowledge of ZEISS lenses, advancements in contact lenses, dry eye management, and cataract lens options, as well as an informative session on hearing care. 👓🩵

These sessions are an essential part of what we do — helping us stay informed, confident, and ready to provide the best possible advice and care for our patients.

After a full day of learning, we transitioned from training mode to celebration mode, dressing up for a black-tie evening of dinner and dancing. It was a wonderful chance to relax together and celebrate the teamwork that drives our practice forward — not only within our own team but also alongside colleagues from other Friths practices.
