We had a lovely day out today at Burnby Hall Gardens 🌸☀️. The sun was shining and there was a lovely warmth in the air so it was the perfect time to enjoy some Vitamin D and treat ourselves to some icecream. It truly felt like the most beautiful spring day 💜🪻

Everyone is really enjoying getting ready for Easter here at Lavender Fields 🐣🌸

Our lovely ladies had a wonderful time creating their own Easter bonnets, and as you can see, they look absolutely spectacular modelling them! We’re so proud of their creativity and the joy they bring to every activity 💜

We are thrilled to be hosting an afternoon tea event on Tuesday 21st April with our friends from Dementia Forward in aid of The Lord Mayor of Pocklington's Charity Appeal.

This promises to be a wonderful afternoon, with musical entertainment from 'Pull Down the Moon'.

Tickets are £20 per person and are available to purchase direct from Dementia Forward.

At Lavender Fields, one of the things that truly makes our home special is the strong sense of community we nurture every day 💜

We’re more than just a care home — we’re a village. From afternoons spent chatting and laughing in our on-site pub, to trips out to Pocklington for local choir sessions and heartwarming visits from local school children, there’s always something bringing us together.

We’re constantly finding new ways to help our residents feel connected, valued, and part of something meaningful — because belonging matters.

We are delighted to announce that the Employee of the Month award for March has been presented to senior carer, Joe. Joe received a record-breaking number of nominations from colleagues across the whole of the village team - from care colleagues, leadership, admin, gardening and maintenance! What really stood out from review of the nominations was Joe's constant dedication, support for his colleagues and willingness to go above and beyond.

Joe's incredible work ethic and deep understanding of the residents that he cares for make him an inspiration to us all. Every day he demonstrates outstanding care, kindness and attention to detail which really makes a difference to the lives of those he supports.

We always look forward to our weekly visits from Laura from the North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre !🎶 Laura knows our residents so well and her presence is always so warmly welcomed by everyone in our home.

Music therapy is such a special part of our residents’ week, and with both one-to-one and group sessions available, everyone gets so much from the experience. From the gentle ti**le of bells, to the sound of beautiful singing voices, it brings such warmth and joy throughout the day.

This is truly a valuable and much-loved activity here at Lavender Fields Care Village. 💜

You truly brought the cheer! There was lots of feet tapping, singing along and smiles all around as everyone enjoyed songs they know and love.

It was such an upbeat afternoon and exactly what we all needed 💜

Happy Birthday to Virna, our amazing Wellbeing Coordinator here at Lavender Fields.

Our Wellbeing and Activities Team are truly at the heart of our home and always going the extra mile to make every resident feel included, valued and special. But today, it was all about her!

Happy St Patrick’s Day from Lavender Fields ☘️

We had a fantastic day celebrating in true Irish style! Our residents enjoyed a wonderful mix of Irish music, traditional food and of course some Guinness and Baileys to toast the occasion.

The celebrations didn’t stop there—we even took a trip to our onsite pub 'The Stag Inn' for more drinks and some fun games to round off the day 🍀

We also had a very special birthday to celebrate and made sure it was a proper knees up for one of our lovely residents...what a perfect way to mark the occasion 💚
