Our Cheese and Wine afternoon in The Lemon Tree Bistro was a real treat this week. Residents enjoyed catching up over a lovely selection of cheeses and a glass or two, with plenty of conversation and friendly faces around the tables. 🍂

A relaxed gathering filled with warmth and good company. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such an enjoyable afternoon.

Our Maintenance Man on Top of the World!

We’re so proud of our very own maintenance man, Wayne, who’s just completed an incredible trek to Everest Base Camp.

The 12-day journey saw him face temperatures ranging from -14°C to 30°C, climbing to an altitude of 5,360 metres. The final stretch alone lasted 14 hours, setting off at 4:30am. True determination. Not only did Wayne reach this amazing milestone, but he also raised over £500 for the Wonkey Donkey Sanctuary in Knottingley, a cause close to his heart.

Huge congratulations, Wayne, what an outstanding achievement.

We’re delighted to welcome Dawn Moore, our new Head of Commissioning and Legal Support.

With over 17 years as a Solicitor advising families on later-life issues, alongside hands-on care experience, Dawn brings both professional expertise and genuine empathy to Lavender Fields. Every role in our community matters, from carers to activities coordinators to chefs and support staff, and every person brings something special.

We’re so pleased Dawn has joined us as we continue building a place where residents truly feel at home.
