The service 940 will now return to normal route from 18th February 2026 as the trees on Moor Road have finally been cut back to allow the safe operation of double deckers!

Good News - A friendly taxi driver has just let us know that Copmanthorpe is back open, so we are back to normal route on Super 13.
Also 965 in Otley is back to normal route too

To add insult to injury, we've now had a further two emergency road closures without any notice whatsoever.
In Otley, Wesley Street is closed meaning that the 965 is having to divert around Kirkgate inbound and Boroughgate outbound. There are delays.
Super13 has now got a road closure at Copmanthorpe meaning that we can't serve the Flaxman Croft loop, We will have to go along the A64 and down School Lane to The terminus, and then back up Horseman Lane to Hallcroft Lane and back onto the A64 toward College.
We actually informed the Council about this closure when our drivers saw the signs, as no-one had made them aware of it - an absolute shambles of a system.
Both of these could possibly be closed until 18th February.
Further to these, we have 4 sets of roadworks on the 940 route also causing delays between Otley and Holt Park.

It would be easier to list services not suffering delays from unannounced road closures

Please accept our apologies but we are at least as frustrated with this as our customers are.

To add to yesterdays road closure misery, we've now got further completely unco-ordinated roadworks affecting service X52 (which will have knock on effects on 965, 940, X4, X12 and X70 as all of these services interwork.)
There are 4 sets of roadworks on the X52 route - Prince Of Wales roundabout in Harrogate, Pannal, Weeton Station and Pool Bridge.
Please bear with us as we are trying our best to maintain the service during this

Emergency roadworks are starting on York Road Wetherby for two weeks, which will mean the road will be closed.
The 412 and the X77 will have to divert via Sandbeck way.
We will not be able to serve the bus stop at Morrisons petrol station for this period.
Apologies for any inconvenience, but we have just found this out via Wetherby grumbler!

Update to yesterday’s incident!
I surmised from the hole what may have caused the damage to the bus window - I apologise for this - we do not know what was aimed at it. Being extremely annoyed about it, my Facebook post maybe wasn’t as it should have been.
The incident has been reported to the police -
If anyone knows anything about it , the incident number is WYP-202116-0648.

Above all the most important thing is that no one was hurt, but this is why we need to try and track the offenders down to stop any re-occurrence and possibility of danger to drivers and customers of all bus services.
We are waiting for the CCTV in the hope that something can be seen to show to the police.

The state of this lawless country has luckily not caused injury to any of the customers or driver on our service 11 tonight.
It looks as if the bus has been targeted by thugs as it was on its way to Scholes on the A64.
The mindset of these absolute morons beggars belief. What on earth are their parents doing and what would they think if they knew their offspring was up to this. Maybe this is the problem?
More to the point what would have happened if someone had been injured on the bus?
If anyone has any information on this incident, please let us know - hopefully we can get some information which can assist the police with this

Some excellent parking here in copmanthorpe this morning which caused over 10 minutes delay to the super13 this morning.
Unfortunately, such is the state this country is in now, people know they can get away with doing this with no retribution from the authorities.

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish all of our customers a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

We’d like to wish all our customers best wishes for Christmas and a happy New Year

See the attached for our service levels over the festive period this year.
To clarify, we will be operating a Saturday service on the 27th, 29th, 30th and 31st December. On 29th, 30th, 31st December, the 412 will additionally operate (but not the 0645 from Wetherby or the 1835 from York)
2nd January will have a normal school holiday service.
We would like to wish all of our customers a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year

That’s wrapped up our hires this year for the coach with a trip to Harrogate pantomime for a regular primary school customer.
