Service Overview:
We specialise in supporting 29 people who have varying needs as a result of physical and long-term neurological conditions including cerebral palsy, Huntington’s disease, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida & hydrocephalus, and stroke.
The full-time support we provide is flexible and designed to help build skills, inspire confidence and encourage people to live more independently. We work directly with each individual to develop a personalised support programme based on their needs, wishes and aspirations. This includes personal care, health & wellbeing programmes, physiotherapy, community engagement, enablement, volunteering & activities and respite and transition services.

What is the role?
Cook – Alne – £10.20
• To plan menus to provide nutritionally balanced, varied and attractively presented meals for people who we support, providing where necessary for any specific dietary requirements and taking note of peoples preferences and making best use of seasonal foods.
• To ensure that a regular cleaning program of kitchen, dining and storage areas is followed in line with environmental health regulations and following COSHH requirements, (assisting other catering staff with cleaning and washing up as necessary).
• To ensure follow HACCP system guidelines on the storage, preparation & serving of food are clear and followed by the Catering Team.
• To ensure food stocks are checked and stores ordered regularly and oversee the receipt and storage of consumables and stock records. Ensure invoices are checked and forwarded to the financial/accounts administrator for processing whilst maintaining budget.
• To provide catering for parties, buffets, picnics and other special functions that are authorised by the Service Manager.
