Do you suffer from a specific phobia ? If so Solution Focused Hypnotherapy could be the one difference that makes all the difference… allowing you to overcome your fears.
Just like one of my clients who overcame her fear of flying in just 5 sessions. She had suffered for many years with a phobia of flying - And in her words is now no longer suffering…
After awful turbulence on our flight home from Turkey in Sept 2019. Me holding my breathe and crying all the way back, thinking that was it we weren’t going to get home. I said i would not be going on a plane again.
I had a little word with myself….my fear of flying was stopping Ben, Oli and Eva from enjoying a family holiday and making special memories.
So i got in touch with lovely Sara Morgan i had some hypnotherapy sessions with her.
We travelled to Mallorca in July, yes i didnt cry on a flight. It realy did work for me.
We have just had an adult trip away to Poland, even with a bumpy and windy landing in the early hours… i was fine and smiling.
Something i once thought would never be possible.
If you have a fear or phobia or struggle with anxiety Sara is honestly amazing, i can’t recommend her enough. 🤩

Did you know that exercise is one of the best tools to manage anxiety?

This is because it follows the natural course of your stress response, your body is all geared up to move so by allowing it to do just that, your body can use up the energy and stress hormones it's produced and rebalance itself.

Exercise also produces serotonin which is a mood stabiliser therefore regular exercise can help maintain positive wellbeing.

Top Tip! If you exercise on the days you don't feel anxious your setting yourself up to have a better day tomorrow.

If this helps just one parent / child then it’s worth sharing.
I often hear this from family’s who are struggling with bedtime.

🌙 The scene is familiar:
Lights are lowered.
Teeth are brushed.
And suddenly from the darkness:
“Mom… I’m hungry.”

😤 Most parents get annoyed:
• “You already ate dinner.”
• “This is just a routine.”
• “You’re delaying bedtime.”

And in that moment…
👉 the child isn’t listened to.

🧠 Psychologists have observed:
In 8 out of 10 cases, asking for food before sleep
❌ is NOT about hunger
✅ it’s about emotional state

🔹 Layer 1: Nervous system overload

📚 Long day.
🏫 School, daycare, noise, rules, feelings.

Before sleep, the body lets go of tension.
The brain searches for something familiar and safe.

🍎 Food = the earliest, safest way to soothe.

🔹 Layer 2: Need for connection

❤️ Children don’t know how to say:
• “Stay with me”
• “I feel nervous”
• “I need more closeness”

So they say:
“I want to eat.”

🔹 Layer 3: The unexpected insight

If food equals care in a family,
then asking to eat is really asking for love.

A quiet question:
👉 “Am I okay? Am I accepted?”

👀 I’ve watched children fall asleep
after just a few bites of an apple.

Not because they were full.
But because they were understood.

⚠️ The system response is often harsh:
• “Don’t build bad habits.”
• “You’ll upset their stomach.”

And parents begin fighting…
❌ the symptom
instead of
✅ the cause.

🔄 The shift happens when an adult sits close and asks:
• “How was your day?”
• “What bothered you today?”

And suddenly…
🍽️ food is no longer needed.

💡 The uncomfortable truth:

Children rarely act out without a reason.
More often, they speak a language
we’ve forgotten how to hear.

Are you feeling anxious all the time ?

Are the feelings associated with your anxiety, preventing you from doing the things you'd usually like to do?

Feeling anxious causes our body to activate the Fight Flight response, whereby we immediately enter a mode of hyperawareness, this is handy in times of danger and is part of our generic makeup.
However when an anxious episode happens a feeling of confusion often then follows because most of the time there is no identifiable cause of any real danger in front of us. Because the mind cant tell the difference between imagination and reality our physiological response will be exactly the same.
This response feels intense and uncomfortable because its there to ensure our survival.
Hypersensitivity, occurs as a direct result of the adrenaline that's released into your system when the Flight Fight response is being repeatedly triggered. Through repetition it's intensified and overtime makes the feelings of anxiety worse.
If you continue this self analysing and constant checking then it can become a bad habit and you may begin to search for dangers which simply aren't there.
This can result in all of the above becoming a vicious circle of events which when continued will prevent you from doing things you ordinarily would like to be doing.
