A remote job rectifying a 46D1 fault on a 120d M47 EDC16 for a guy in Finland.
This is often caused by an incorrect checksum 🚧 value in the eeprom after data 💻 has been altered within the file.
After the checksum is correctly calculated 🧠🧙🏽‍♂️ the issue is resolved. 🪄💪

A little peek into today's jobs....

Landrover Discovery 2 milage mismatch due to a instrument cluster swap showing higher milage, These can't be synced backwards, only forwards, increasing shown milage to the highest stored value between the BCU and Instrument cluster. The milage was rectified in the clocks.

👀 Who can spot the previous fault light "repair" ? 🤣🤦‍♂️

Another DDE6 M57 ecu having its software sorted and reprogrammed for use in a "standalone" condition. This time for use in a transit engine conversion.

On a serious note, another M57 ecu completed for a standalone conversion using the 6hp auto box too.
All non used sensors and functions removed and a tune for the supporting mods the customer is fitting.

Another day another landrover or 2.....

Today saw me head over to help the awesome team out at RCM 4x4 Limited.

Tomorrow I'm taking a day off to join them on their annual Christmas Yorshire dales tour, Thanks for the invite, when you work on your own you don't often get a Christmas party.

This year has been extremely testing for me mentally and the grief of loosing my mum only a few weeks ago has been taking its toll.

And a day away to switch off is greatly appreciated.

Also as a heads up I will be shut...

Mon 15th and Fri 19th for my mums funeral and church service.

Another locked out Discovery 2 BCU requiring a dose of l👀king at.

This was carried out for an agent of a well known tuning company, working together to keep the aging vehicles on the road.

These can prove to be an issue if you don't have a working EKA code and also non working central locking system.

We can remove the "locked out" issue and also set your EKA code to a well remembered one.

This enables comms to be re-enabled via the OBD port.

This is one of the many services that not many companies offer, which we do...

Tuning the TD5 platform never fails to fetch out the customers smiles, whether it's a simple file revision or making an MSB Flashable and twin mapping I love working on these.
