πOnly 1 more day untill the weekend! π
Well today has been VERY productive as I've finally resolved one HUGE headache I've had for a couple of months.......the Evoque!
This vehicle was recommended to be looked at by myself due to it being sat for quite a while and the inside somewhat moist! π§ββοΈβοΈπππ
The issues ranged from non functioning heater controls to lots of CANBUS Communication issues throughout the whole vehicle, the central locking not working via the remote and also the proximity function of the keyless ignition defunct! π
Replaced items included the rf receiver in the roof, heater control panel, a KVM module virginized inhouse to help save costs amongst other items.
All in all it's been a thorn in my side and I'm relieved that,
1.... I managed to sort the huge inconvenience list of issuesπππ
And 2....it can finally go back to the owner who can now use his vehicleπ
Another job from this week included a Linde forktruck which suffered a reverse polarity "mishap" when it was getting collected for the purchaser.π«£
This results in multiple failures of modules leaving the vehicle dead and blowing fuses.
This is caused by the use of TVS diodes (Transient voltage suppressor diodes) β‘οΈ
Which help to limit the damages caused within each module, once the relivent tests are carried out, new items fitted and fuses replaced, hopefully this will limit what could be a VERY expensive lesson regards using a jump pack. ππ§¨
And finally........because i like to make things faster...πͺ
I may or may not be reverse engineering the firmware on a Revi E bike and carrying out a few hardware modsπͺπ
