Riverside Care Complex Riverside Care Complex is a Family managed care home providing bespoke care within 8 acres of countryside on the outskirts of historic York.

This care home provides residential care for the elderly in Derwent House and also has a modern, purpose built Dementia community that has been specifically designed to provide high-quality residential care in Riverview Lodge for those living with dementia. Our team of specialist and dedicated staff focus on the individual needs of our residents and offer person centred care. They are committed to providing dignified and individually tailored care with the resident at the heart of everything we do. The home features 63 en-suite bedrooms all furnished to a very high standard. Accommodation is offered in bright, spacious single rooms. All rooms have TV connectivity and call system. Communal areas comprise lounges and dining areas, a reception area and a conservatory. Varied menus are served and specialist diets can be catered for. We are always happy to welcome visitors or to answer queries – we are here to help, please get in touch. We routinely hold residents and families meetings so we can receive your feedback and refine the care we provide in every way. We actively encourage families to engage in our community and take an active part in the care we provide for loved ones. Our community offers: health and wellbeing services including a dedicated on-site GP services, podiatry services, hair salon, and full time activities coordinator in the home to offer person-centred sessions.

🎄 A Heartwarming Christmas Day🎁

This Christmas Day was truly special as our residents enjoyed a beautiful lunch expertly prepared by our dedicated kitchen team. The festive feast was filled with delicious flavors, bringing smiles all around!

The atmosphere around the home was of happiness and warmth creating a sense of community and togetherness that made the day unforgettable. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this Christmas so magical!

🎉 Festive Cheer at the Xmas Show!🎶

This Christmas our residents were treated to a delightful performance by ‘The Blue Birds’ that truly captured the spirit of Christmas! 🌟

The upbeat show had everyone tapping their feet and singing along. With glasses of wine and plates of delicious mince pies in hand, laughter and joy filled the room. Residents danced and celebrated together, embracing the festive atmosphere as we enjoyed the countdown to Christmas.

The energy was infectious, and it was heartwarming to see everyone come together for such a joyful occasion. Cheers to the memories made and the festive spirit shared! 🎄✨

🎄✨ The countdown to Christmas at Riverside Care Complex has been full of joy and festive spirit!

This week kicked off with our wonderful Christmas party, where residents embraced the holiday cheer. We celebrated Christmas Jumper Day in style, and our Christmas service with Steve Percival and the choir from St. John the Baptist Church left everyone singing with joy! The enthusiasm from our residents truly amazed Steve and the choir members.

We also got creative with Christmas flower arranging, using beautiful holly and foliage. It was a lovely group project that has brightened up our home and strengthened our community spirit.

To wrap up the week, we enjoyed the delightful musical moments and got crafty with bauble making. The excitement is only building as we look forward to the Bluebirds Christmas concert!
