Sensory Dance has a new home - welcome to Foxwood Community Centre!

Our Monday dance class has been relocated to this wonderful space, with plenty of room for dance and movement. The new venue is tucked away, opposite a beautiful park and backs onto a well kept sensory garden.

Here's a few snaps from our session yesterday, celebrating with a very appropriate playlist of empowering tunes.

We've been exploring colours and textures with our Sensory Drama group in York and in our Selby Explorers group this week.

In York, we discovered the colourful coral reef using fans, ribbons and fabric. In Selby we created our own picnic stories using colourful scarves and Verbatim theatre techniques!

Another year coming to a close -- can you believe it's gone this fast? This year I've worked with some incredible projects and had some major successes, and today I'm celebrating Toolbox Drama CIC!
This year, I've been involved in:
🎭 Weekly drama sessions in Selby
🎶 Starting a new weekly music group
🌻 A new facilitated sensory space, Immersive Gardens
🗺️ Trips to see disability friendly art
🎉 A brilliant summer arts festival
✨ Cover sessions in drama, music and dance in York
💃 Collaborative sessions in dance and play in York
💛 Supporting and training our new volunteers and buddies
It's been a fabulous year, and I'm really looking forward to what we've got coming up in 2026! Keep an eye here for more updates on this year over the next few weeks.

The Christmas tree is up!
