Siobhán Baillie MP for Stroud has got the maternity services crisis granted for debate in parliament on 17th January.

She has asked anyone who'd like to support Midwives and improve the maternity care situation to email your local MPs and ask them to come to the debate. The more we can get in that room to hear about the campaign and the crisis, the better!!

If you are York Central that's Rachel Maskell, York Outer Julian Sturdy. If you in other areas of England please look up your MP if you need to.

Please drop them an email or tweet if you can to get them to attend this hugely important debate

There is a maternity crisis here in the UK.

Government action is needed now.

Take a looks at these stats, it's pretty shocking isn't it. 😥

I know women, birthing people and families I teach are really feeling this first hand right now.

There are a series of nationwide marches / vigils to be held on Sunday 21st November. Please show your support, show change is needed, by joining one.

We need our midwives to be able to deliver the care that every mother, birthing person, baby and family deserve.

We need to stand by them and support them, just like they supported us.

Please tag your friends, family who have used or are using maternity services anywhere in the UK, to join this important cause,. Let's create change 💪

If you are local to me there is one in York, Sunday 21st November 2pm to 4pm outside the Minster. Details at MarchWITHMidwives York and Scarborough

You can find all the others by heading to on Insta and FB

Susan x ❤️ 💪🏼
