The creator of The Little Yorkshire Candle Company, Alex Hall grew up in the Yorkshire town of Leeds. After a short period of living in the south she returned to Yorkshire where her love of the countryside, nature and natural things thrived. Trained at Harrods in distributive trades and working with fine goods gave Alex the high level of detail she now looks for in all of her products.
Many candles now include essential oils but are heavily partnered with synthetic fragrances to give them the punch of smell so commonly found. Disappointed by the increase of synthetic fragrances becoming available she set out to develop a purer scent with the vision to keeping everything natural.
After struggling to find candles that weren’t too pungent where you could remain in the same room as a lit scented candle without being overwhelmed by the ingredients set Alex on the path to creating a new range of 100% natural Yorkshire candles.

All candles within The Little Yorkshire Candle Company range only contain essential oils and other plant extracts.
Our candle wax is a beautiful blend of coconut, soy and beeswax – 100% natural ingredients.
All candles are hand poured in small batches within North Yorkshire and comes packaged in a botanically illustrated box by a local Yorkshire artist and contain poetry by the Yorkshire Prose.
