🎨 WOW | Our Resident Artist… move over Van Gogh! 🌟

A HUGE thank you to our incredibly talented residents who took part in this month’s company-wide challenge… MASTERPIECE MARCH! 🖌️✨

We invited our residents to create a masterpiece of their choice — and they absolutely delivered! From beautiful paintings to creative designs, the talent on display has been nothing short of inspiring. 💛

We even set up our very own gallery for everyone to enjoy and vote for their favourites. The winning piece will now be submitted to Head Office for the final judging, going head-to-head with winners from our other homes! 🏆

GOOD LUCK to everyone involved — we’re so proud of you all and can’t wait to see if Haxby takes the crown! 🤞

But honestly… our residents are always winners in our eyes. 💫

🎩 Wear A Hat Day is an annual fundraising event on 27th March, that invites people to wear Hats to support Brain Tumour Research and we wanted join in…
🎩 Our home was filled with smiles & laughter and it was a joy to see our Residents & Staff really embracing the day and adding clothes and accessories too!

We had some very special, colorful visitors drop by today! Our residents had a fantastic time getting up close and personal with some beautiful parrots.

There were smiles all around as the birds perched on arms and even showed off their impressive flying skills around the room. A few of our especially brave staff members even let the parrots snack on seeds right from their mouths!

It was a wonderful day of sensory fun and unique memories for everyone involved. Thank you so much to Parrots and Pirates for this unforgettable experience 🦜

We’ve had a fantastic 4th day celebrating Nutrition and Hydration Week here at Haxby Hall!

To keep everyone refreshed and hydrated, we hosted a vibrant Cocktail & Mocktail afternoon that brought a real splash of sunshine to the Home☀️
Our residents enjoyed a delicious range of fruity cocktails and refreshing mocktails, and platters of colorful, tropical fruits to snack on. 🍍🥝

Our home was transformed with tropical decorations and upbeat music. 🌺 and staff joined in the fun, ditching the usual look for outfits filled with every color of the rainbow! 🌈

It’s been a wonderful way to highlight the importance of staying hydrated while having a brilliant time together. Check out some of our favorite moments from the day! 👇

G L O B A L | T E A | P A R T Y Holiday Themed 🫖🏝️

Over the past week, residents have been sharing stories about their favourite holiday destinations and places they’ve visited around the world, helping us pick locations for our afternoon tea 🥰

Today, we talked about traditional foods from different countries and how they can benefit us in various ways. We also shared our favourite dishes and discovered just how many we have in common😍

We’re excited to see what Day 4 of Nutrition and Hydration Week brings tomorrow🍹

Pimp My Tea Trolley – St Patrick’s Day Edition 💚

As part of , we gave our tea trolley a festive St Patrick’s Day makeover for Snacky Tuesday🍀

Nutrition and hydration play a vital role in supporting health, wellbeing, and overall quality of life. Little moments like this are a great way to encourage our residents to enjoy a range of tasty, nourishing snacks and drinks in between mealtimes🍊🍓🍉

Alongside our themed treats, we put our knowledge to the test with a St Patrick’s Day quiz while listening to some Irish music🇮🇪

Thank you to the wonderful team and children at Little Green Rascals Haxby for visiting us again this week and for our beautiful drawings!💛

We loved spending the afternoon singing songs, dancing around, and playing catch. How special it was for our residents to reminisce while watching the children laugh and play😍

Visits like these mean so much to everyone involved. Bringing generations together helps reduce loneliness, sparks happy memories, and gives everyone a boost in mood. For the children, it’s a beautiful opportunity to build confidence, kindness, and connection within the community🥰

There’s something truly magical about young and old sharing time together, we can’t wait for your next visit already✨
