𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 '𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠'🎨🍌

This week is all about the wonderful people who bring life, laughter, and connection to our homes. While the calendars are full, it’s the personal moments that truly fill our hearts.

Our Activity Lead Glad, was blown away this week by the kindness of one resident’s family when she received a beautiful, hand drawn framed picture from a resident’s daughter, a keepsake to treasure forever

And as if that wasn't enough, she was then brought in a delicious homemade Brown Butter Banana Bread after hearing it was one of Glad’s personal favourites!

The love from our residents and their families is the best reward we could ask for.

A massive shout out to our entire Activities Teams. They are the true heartbeat of our homes, working tirelessly to create joy and connection for everyone. You are all superstars! ⭐

Yesterday we showered Claire with love before she heads off on maternity leave! 🍼

From the decor to the 'Beer Belly or Baby Bump' quiz (which the residents absolutely loved!), it was a fantastic send off for her 🎀

Wishing you all the best with your baby girl, Claire, we can’t wait for cuddles! 💗

𝘼 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘽𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙨 𝙉𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣…🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Haxby Hall was transformed into a Scottish Highland Retreat, as we celebrated Burns Night in style.

Our staff truly went above and beyond, ditching their usual uniforms to dress up in vibrant Tartan for the day, which brought a festive and colorful atmosphere to every room, and as you can see, lots of fun & laughter! 😀

We tested everyone’s knowledge with a fun Quiz, and it was lovely to see everyone sharing stories of their own trips to Scotland.

We tucked into traditional Shortbread, Tunnocks Tea Takes & no Burns Night is complete without a ‘wee dram’ of Whiskey, used to toast the memory of Robert Burns, as we read some of his Poems

The day culminated in a spectacular traditional supper. Our kitchen team outdid themselves with a main course of Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. For dessert, we enjoyed a beautiful homemade Cranachan, layered with cream, oats, honey, and raspberries, the perfect sweet ending to a wonderful day.

Special shout out to the gorgeous little Cilla the Dog, who undoubtedly won ‘Best Dressed’ in her Tartan hat!

Today, our talented residents got busy whipping up a delicious Earl Grey Tea Loaf

A big shout out to Chris, who proudly delivered the loaves to our Chef, Jamie, to get them perfectly golden in the oven.

The best part? Enjoying a slice (or two!) from the afternoon tea trolley this afternoon.

Well done to everyone involved, it tasted as good as it looks! 😋

𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒂 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒂 𝑴𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒆...

Well that’s not strictly true for our Christmas Eve!

We all had a fantastically festive day, starting with cosying up to watch ‘Home Alone’ in our Picture House Cinema. It was also Christmas PJ day for Residents and Staff, so everyone looked and felt cosy, ready for our ‘Staff VS Residents Quiz’ this afternoon…which ended in a tie breaker…this time it was the Staff that won, but only by a whisker!

Our Activities Lead Glad also made some fun awards for Staff, which were presented after the Quiz, and of course there were Certificates for our Residents too, which they were thrilled to receive 🥰

The last thing to do, was get a Mince Pie, Glass of Sherry and enough Carrots for all the reindeers ready on the fireplace for Father Christmas coming 🎅🏼

One more sleep! 😃

This Christmas, we want to extend our warmest wishes to our residents, their families, friends, our local community, and, most importantly, our incredible team of carers. 💛

2025 has been a year full of dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment. Every day, our care teams go above and beyond to make our homes a place of comfort, joy, and support - and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Tinsel & Tranquility event! A special afternoon designed to help our residents and their loved ones unwind.

It was the perfect antidote to the Christmas rush. From the calming, yet energising Yoga Session from the talented Cindy Perry Magyar, to the luxury pampering and those delicious cocktails🍸

Some of our Staff also enjoyed the afternoon, and were more than happy to join in with Residents for a little pampering, and Check out our team photo in our PJs - the unofficial uniform for a stress-free Christmas! 🎄😴

Everyone left feeling refreshed, recharged & ready for the Big day🎅🏼
