Baby massage is so much more than strokes and techniques. It’s deepening your bond, learning your little one’s cues, easing aching tummies, supporting sleep, and giving you both space to simply be together.
In all my Stage 1 classes you’ll enjoy:

I don't often have availability, but I have a few spaces available on my next block of classes, starting w/c Monday 23rd February 🤍
All my sessions are nurturing, welcoming and completely baby-led. There’s no pressure for your little one to lie still, no expectations on you, and always plenty of time for feeds, cuddles and chats (and, of course, cake 🍰). You are always welcome exactly as you are.
But just as importantly, it’s a space for you too - to slow down, breathe, and connect with other parents in a warm, understanding and inclusive environment.
Baby massage (Stage 1) can help with:

🌿 Easing windy or uncomfortable tummies
🌿 Building your confidence in soothing and handling your baby
🌿 Nurturing that beautiful bond between you
For those who are ready for the next step, my Stage 2 classes gently build on everything you’ve learned in Stage 1. I've add in soft stretches, movement, songs and playful connection - perfect for curious munchkins 🤍

This isn’t my usual kind of post, but after a lot of thought, I feel it’s important to share something close to my heart.
As a small, independent business, I want to reassure you all that every word you read on my website and socials is written personally by me. Not AI, and absolutely never lifted from another business. The same goes for my session plans, emails, and email attachments, everything is always thoughtfully created and written by me.
Authenticity truly matters to me. The language I use reflects my philosophy, my training, my lived experience, and the deep care I hold for the families and babies I support. It takes so much time, thought, and heart to put those values into words.
Sadly, it’s been brought to my attention, several times now, that once again another local business has taken the wording from my booking page, policies and terms and are using it as their own. So, if you happen to see wording elsewhere that feels familiar, please know that my content is always original and always written by me.
It’s never easy running a tiny, independent business, and situations like this genuinely break my heart. Knowing that so much heart, time and effort can be taken with a simple copy and paste is so disheartening.

Ultimate gorgeousness in yesterday’s Stage 2 Valentine’s class ❤️
Slow paced, love filled, gentle, and overflowing with oxytocin. Love and emotion were high, tears were shed (including mine, obvs! 🥹)

Another dreamy week at MM ☁️✨
So much gorgeousness, as always.
Our Stage 1 babies soaked up a soothing back massage and tummy time, while our Stage 2 babies enjoyed the sweetest teddy bears’ picnic 🤎🧸

In Stage 2 this week the munchkins enjoyed flying in the air like parrots in the jungle - lots of fun but even more benefits:

✨ Supports balance and body awareness
✨ Provides rich vestibular feedback (their sense of movement and balance)
✨ Boosts connection through shared eye contact (and lots of giggles!)
✨ Gives their nervous system playful movement, helping build confidence and coordination

I’m Laura and I run Mini Munchkins. I have two children - Izzy who has just turned 13 and Rory who has just turned 1. I first discovered baby massage when Izzy was born. She arrived 11 weeks prematurely by emergency c-section, which resulted in her needing to spend over two months in the Special Care Baby Unit in York Hospital. This was such a hard time for us and not the start in life I ever imagined for my tiny baby. Once Izzy came home we were finally able to really bond and my health visitor suggested we did baby massage together. She told me all about the benefits we would both receive from the classes and the extra benefits premature babies get from being massaged. The classes sounded wonderful so I signed up straight away and never looked back! I absolutely loved the classes and the special one to one time it gave Izzy and I.
Fast forward 11 years and I had my son, Rory. Rory, thankfully, was born closer to his due date and arrived 4 weeks early, meaning we were home from hospital within three days. I knew as soon as he was born that I wanted to attend baby massage classes again as I remembered how much I enjoyed them with Izzy. I spent a long time looking into all the different classes around my area, chose one and off we went. I massaged Rory every day at home and fell more in love with baby massage each time we did it. I could see how much Rory enjoyed it too and it was our special time together each day which I really looked forward to.
One day, whilst giving Rory his daily massage (it’s alright for some!), it suddenly clicked and I thought ‘I want to do this for my job!’, and for the next couple of evenings all I did was spend them researching how I could qualify to become an instructor. Within a few weeks I had booked myself onto an instructor course and ordered my massage demonstration doll. I completed my course and the day I received my certificate was the day Mini Munchkins was born and my dream became a reality!
I absolutely love running my Mini Munchkin massage classes and get so much joy from sharing my love and passion for baby massage with other mummies and daddies.
