Holistic Kitchen 100% Vegan Products made with Essential Oils | Handcrafted in the Yorkshire Wolds | I literally threw out all household cleaning products with chemicals. x

Being holistic from my kitchen...

My name is Sallyanne, I am a working mummy who loves to make essential oil blends and other products when I can, around being a busy mum. Over the last few years I have worked with essential oils through my work as a holistic massage therapist. I cannot get enough of their magical natural benefits, beautiful scents and the ability to heal the mind and the body. During my first pregnancy with Hunter, I started to take on more of a holistic approach to what I was using on my skin as I started to get bad eczema on my hand during pregnancy. I started to look at how chemicals in household products and skin care could be the cause of this flare up. I first started to make my own household cleaning products using essential oils, white vinegar and bicarbonate soda. My eczema slowly went and I was amazed. This set me off on my chemical free journey and I found myself obsessed with finding out more information. One book that inspired me was 'Imperfectly Natural Woman: Getting Life Right the Natural Way' by Janey Lee Grace.

Hunter was born in August 2012 and shortly after he was born he developed patches of eczema on his skin. I started experimenting by make my own balms with essential oils to massage into his skin. This saved me from using the steroid cream the doctor wanted to give him, and I felt better as I was using something so natural and organic that actually worked!

My friends started to ask if I could make them their own unique essential oil blend and organically, Holistic Kitchen started to grow.

During my second pregnancy with Luna, I started to experiment with more essential oil blends and products suitable for pregnancy and breastfeeding to use on myself, and now, those products, such as Mamas Comfort and Bump, Boobs & Baby Balm, are my best selling products from the pregnancy range.

I use 100% therapeutic grade essential oils and raw organic ingredients in all my handmade products.

I appreciate all the support and loyalty from my customers, friends and family, as without you, this wouldn't be happening for me.

Finally, thank you to the universe for guiding me through life and helping me on my bumpy journey to creating Holistic Kitchen products.

A signature scent is more than making a space smell nice.

Scent is the fastest way to create memory, emotion and connection.

It anchors how people feel in your space and becomes part of your brand without saying a word.

My Signature Story Scent Days are for business owners who want their spaces to feel intentional.
Saunass, studios, spas, wellness spaces, events, retreats.

Anywhere people come to slow down, breathe, move or reconnect.

During a recent Signature Story Scent Day with Angela from , we created one scent to hold two energies.

Yin and Yang & which represent both her studios at Yoga Kula.

Grounding but uplifting.

A fresh, citrus-led aroma designed to support students during class, and become a scent they could take home and instantly reconnect with how the studio made them feel.

This is what scent can do when it’s created with intention.

It supports the experience while people are with you, and continues the story long after they leave.

🤍✨

I’ve hidden my reach.

Not because I don’t care about my business,
but because I care about my nervous system.

Seeing numbers makes my brain tell stories it doesn’t need to tell. One post does well, another doesn’t, and suddenly I’m checking… and checking again.
I’m going to post what I post anyway so what difference does it really make?

Whether it gets 200 views or 2,000.
Hiding the numbers lets me create without the pressure of how well that post is performing.

I want to show up without tying my mood to stats I can’t control or similar to sales, I would base my happiness around how many I had and it's time for a mindset change.

If numbers mess with your nervous system too, you’re not alone.

Your worth isn’t in the reach or sales.

A regulated nervous system will help you keep neutral in how you feel about these things. It's definitely helping me.

Mid-January reality check ❄️

We’re halfway through January - It’s mid-winter.

It’s grey. Energy is low. And it's so normal to feel exhausted beyond belief!

I literally created Wintering for this exact time of year and still need reminding to practice what I preach.

Slowing down. Being softer. Doing things intentionally instead of forcing my way through them.

Pushing doesn’t work for me anymore like I thought I had to!
Resting does.

If you’re tired, unmotivated, or quietly wishing you could crawl into bed at 1pm, nothing’s gone wrong.

You’re not behind. You’re just in winter.
Say no to plans if you can.
Say yes to going slower.

Trust that this season is doing something for you, even if it doesn’t look productive yet.

January isn’t about momentum - It’s about making it through gently and surviving!

I’m honestly a bit overwhelmed (in the best way).

After sharing my last video about the next evolution of Holistic Kitchen and Scent Your Space, I’ve already had two people enquire about creating their own scent with me!!

And it’s made me realise something big.
This isn’t luck. This is alignment.
This is regulation.

This is years of doing the inner work, even when it was uncomfortable, messy and slow.

This business has been waiting for me to be in the right place mentally and emotionally. Waiting for me to trust myself enough to move, pivot and evolve instead of staying still.

Because staying still wasn’t growth. It was survival.
Every bit of shedding, every wobble, every challenge has been worth it. I’ve still got a long way to go, but this feels like proof that when you listen, when you realign, when you choose yourself and your path, things start to move.

Quietly. Powerfully. Naturally.
And I’m so grateful.

I can finally tell you more about this part of my work I have been quietly building.

Over the last few years, some of my favourite scent work hasn’t lived on the website - It’s lived in spaces.

Saunas, studios, places where people come to slow down and feel something.

Collaborations with places like - - .ltd - - to name a few, have helped shape this direction.

All of that work now has a name - Scent Your Space.

It’s about creating one intentional scent that becomes part of a space to create an experience people remember.

I’ll be sharing it properly and launch this week.

Slowly. Intentionally. In a way that feels aligned.

If you own a space and this is landing, stay close.

I’ve been feeling it for a while.

That quiet nudge that something needed to change.

Over Christmas, something really simple but telling happened. My eczema nearly cleared up because I rested, slowed down and wasn't in constant go-mode.

That was my body saying thank you.

I love what I do, but I’ve been doing too much of it in a way that doesn’t always support me. So I’m listening. Letting go of what no longer fits. Creating space to do things differently.

I’m not walking away from scent, lots of things will be staying the same.
I’m going deeper into something I have been called to do.

Over the next few videos, I’ll share what’s changing and why.

Just a little moment of gratitude 🤍

Thank you, truly, for being here, for supporting what I do, and for backing this little scent-led business in all its seasons.

I’m heading into the next few weeks with a lot of excitement.

An idea that’s been quietly brewing for over two years is finally being brought to life, and with that, some changes are coming.

A few products will be saying goodbye, some will move to waitlist, and things will look a little different… but it all feels really good and really aligned.

I’ll be sharing more very soon.

Merry Christmas, and thank you for being part of this journey 🤍

This is always where it starts.

Before bottles.
Before drops.
Before anything smells like something.

I begin with how I want a blend to feel.
I already know what I want to call it, and the reason why I’m making it.
So I research the emotions and moods I want the scent to evoke.

Content.
Balanced.
Held.
Calm in the body.

Then I go to this book.
The Fragrant Mind by Valerie Ann Worwood.

I don’t use endless sources.
I don’t over-research.
I’ve trusted this one book for years. It’s my Bible.

I look at the emotions and moods first, then the oils associated with them.
Sometimes the same oils show up again and again for different feelings, so I make a note of them.

That’s when a theme starts to form.
That’s when the blend begins to reveal itself.

This is part one.
Research first.
Listening first.
Then the blending comes.

Can I hibernate yet?

Me, in the car, phoning myself like:
“Hi, it’s me… sorry I can't come in today I'm too tired!”

Boss me:
“Absolutely. In winter? You should be at home.”

Sadly… it’s the last week.
Last push.
Last post on Friday.

Then I’m officially entering hibernation mode 💤
(Or at least pretending I can.)

Our Story

Holistic. Simple. Natural.

Hello. I am Sallyanne from Holistic Kitchen. I believe that everyone should be able to experience the power of natural and raw ingredients on the mind, body and soul, without costing the earth. I specialise in essential oil blends, skin care, and pregnancy care products to suit any mood, emotion, and need, all of which are lovingly handcrafted in small batches in the Yorkshire Wolds. Like the name, the product ranges are holistic - meaning they treat the whole person.

I research, test and blend unique combinations that will heal physical ailments, reduce stress levels and balance hormones, while at the same time, rejuvenate your skin and warm the soul. I've put a lot of time and energy into my products to make them affordable, ethical, and kind to the environment. It’s a hard balance to strike but I am committed, and always looking for ways to improve. All our ingredients are ethically sourced, and we’re on a mission to become 100% Organic (so far, we’re at around 65%).
