Being holistic from my kitchen...

My name is Sallyanne, I am a working mummy who loves to make essential oil blends and other products when I can, around being a busy mum. Over the last few years I have worked with essential oils through my work as a holistic massage therapist. I cannot get enough of their magical natural benefits, beautiful scents and the ability to heal the mind and the body. During my first pregnancy with Hunter, I started to take on more of a holistic approach to what I was using on my skin as I started to get bad eczema on my hand during pregnancy. I started to look at how chemicals in household products and skin care could be the cause of this flare up. I first started to make my own household cleaning products using essential oils, white vinegar and bicarbonate soda. My eczema slowly went and I was amazed. This set me off on my chemical free journey and I found myself obsessed with finding out more information. One book that inspired me was 'Imperfectly Natural Woman: Getting Life Right the Natural Way' by Janey Lee Grace.

Hunter was born in August 2012 and shortly after he was born he developed patches of eczema on his skin. I started experimenting by make my own balms with essential oils to massage into his skin. This saved me from using the steroid cream the doctor wanted to give him, and I felt better as I was using something so natural and organic that actually worked!

My friends started to ask if I could make them their own unique essential oil blend and organically, Holistic Kitchen started to grow.

During my second pregnancy with Luna, I started to experiment with more essential oil blends and products suitable for pregnancy and breastfeeding to use on myself, and now, those products, such as Mamas Comfort and Bump, Boobs & Baby Balm, are my best selling products from the pregnancy range.

I use 100% therapeutic grade essential oils and raw organic ingredients in all my handmade products.

I appreciate all the support and loyalty from my customers, friends and family, as without you, this wouldn't be happening for me.

Finally, thank you to the universe for guiding me through life and helping me on my bumpy journey to creating Holistic Kitchen products.

If you’re on the Pot of Wonder waitlist… I’m making it today.

I didn’t realise quite how many of you were waiting until I checked the list. There's still time to add your name to the waitlist too - the link is in my bio.

Normally I make batches of 30. But this time there’s nearly two batches worth of names.

Which is honestly a dream… but also means I’m limited.
It’s the school holidays. I’ve only had time (and ingredients!) for one batch.

I don’t have enough jars yet for a second, and with the space and equipment I’ve got, I can’t just magically double production overnight.

So this Friday at 7pm it will be first come, first served.
Once this batch goes, it goes back onto a waitlist and I’ll make more as soon as there’s enough names again.

Thank you for wanting this little pot as much as you do. It’s completely worth the wait.

Restock: Friday 7pm 💛

If you’ve never lived up in the Yorkshire Wolds in Jan/Feb, you won’t understand.

It’s not just fog.
It’s full Twilight Zone energy.

Weeks of grey. No horizon. Just cloud, and you can't see the other side of the hedge!

You genuinely start to think this is your personality now.

Then the sun comes out and I feel… renewed.
Like my nervous system just rebooted.

Coffee. Sunglasses. Hip hop in my ears.
Fully convinced I’ve healed ☀️

Tell me you felt that shift today.

09/02/2026

These are my daily non-negotiables for keeping my nervous system steady.

I take one .life mushroom gummie around 9am when I get to work, and another around 2pm.

They give me a really gentle, calm focus and are a lifesaver on bad ADHD days. No jitters, no crash, just support that carries me through. ✨

Right now I’ve got a bit of anxiety bubbling away too. Perimenopause, life, work, kids… all the things. On those days I’ll double drop a couple of Calm L-Theanine supplements in the morning, and usually before bed too. I listen to my body and use it when I need it. 🌿

And my Calm My Mind roller lives within arm’s reach. Any time of day, I roll it into my palms, take a deep inhale, slow exhale… and repeat as needed. It’s simple, grounding, and works instantly because scent is a superpower innit! 🤍

These are just tools that actually help me and after using them for so long, I know they work.

If you want to try the mushroom gummies, I’ve got 15% off with the link in my bio from Ankhway.

Scent profile (Calm My Mind): Bergamot, geranium, frankincense, orange and patchouli.

Sometimes regulation really can be this simple.

🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 5 star review from M DH:

I have been using Skin Glow for quite some time now. From the first smell when you drop the oil in your palm to the feel of the oil on your skin. It glides on nourishing my face and literally makes your skin glow. I'm 62 and still get compliments about my skin. Try it and you will fall in love with it as I did.

People don’t remember what you said. They remember how your space smelled.

Scent is remembered more than anything else because it bypasses logic and goes straight to emotion.

You don’t analyse a smell. You inhale it… and it stays with you.

That’s why we remember places by how they smell.
A perfect example is the signature sauna scent I created for

People experience it while they’re in the sauna, breathing it in, fully present in the moment.
That scent becomes part of the memory.
So when they smell it again, they remember how that time felt.

Relaxed. Grounded. Calm.
This is the thread that’s run through everything I’ve built with Holistic Kitchen.

And it’s why I created Scent Your Space.
Because your brand deserves a scent.

So much is bubbling away behind the scenes at Holistic Kitchen right now, and I can’t wait to share more with you soon.

For now, a little February update…

✨I’ve got four spaces left on this weekend’s scent workshop (Saturday 7th, 10–11.30). It’s cosy, creative, slow and grounding – a chance to make your own beautiful scent, drink tea, eat cake and do something just for you.

💖I’m also quietly loving this time of year. I don’t really do Valentine’s in the commercial sense, but I do believe in love as self-care, as presence, as choosing softness where you can. Last year we did a family Valentine’s meal and it felt really special. More of that energy, please.

☀️If you do fancy gifting (to yourself or someone you love), my Little Luxuries gift sets are being wrapped beautifully and come with a free gift bag. That offer runs until 14th February, with the last posting date on the 9th.

And yes, I’ll be making more Love essential oil rollers this week too.

Scent profile: Your daily self-care reminder with red mandarin, basil, rosewood & rose.

I’ve got you 🤍

→ Join the Pot of Wonder waitlist via the link in bio 🤍

Pot of Wonder is on a waitlist and here’s why -

I've stopped selling this the usual way.

And I also stopped doing pre-orders.
Pre-orders didn’t feel aligned for me. Knowing someone had already paid and was waiting created pressure and anxiety, and that energy doesn’t belong in how this product is made or how I want to work.

The waitlist feels calmer, clearer and more respectful.
It lets me see real demand first, then buy ingredients intentionally and make each batch fresh, without rushing or overcommitting.

This way:
• I only make what’s needed
• Nothing is wasted
• Every batch is freshly made
• The business stays sustainable and steady

There are already 15 people on the list. I’ll be making the next batch mid-February, likely just after half term.
If you’re running low or have been meaning to try it, you can add your name to the waitlist and I’ll email you first when it’s ready.

If you haven't tried this product yet and you'd like to then try the mini pot first.

I don’t think many of you know this, but this isn’t my first business.

I’ve run a few over the years. Some worked, some didn’t. All of them shaped how I work now.

I’ve always had ideas, pivoted when something no longer fit, and followed what felt right at the time.
Holistic Kitchen grew from all of that.

And alongside it, I’ve always juggled ideas, experiments, and different paths quietly in the background.

Right now, I’m trusting that again.
Following an idea because I know it’s what I need to do.

I actually have a secret business too!

I’m keeping it underground for a reason.
If you’re curious, comment SECRET 👇🏼 and I’ll personally DM you the link.

Please don’t share it on your socials. This one’s staying quiet 🤫

Our Story

Holistic. Simple. Natural.

Hello. I am Sallyanne from Holistic Kitchen. I believe that everyone should be able to experience the power of natural and raw ingredients on the mind, body and soul, without costing the earth. I specialise in essential oil blends, skin care, and pregnancy care products to suit any mood, emotion, and need, all of which are lovingly handcrafted in small batches in the Yorkshire Wolds. Like the name, the product ranges are holistic - meaning they treat the whole person.

I research, test and blend unique combinations that will heal physical ailments, reduce stress levels and balance hormones, while at the same time, rejuvenate your skin and warm the soul. I've put a lot of time and energy into my products to make them affordable, ethical, and kind to the environment. It’s a hard balance to strike but I am committed, and always looking for ways to improve. All our ingredients are ethically sourced, and we’re on a mission to become 100% Organic (so far, we’re at around 65%).
