Eliava Phage Therapy Center provides phage treatment of various bacterial infections, such as:

- Secondary infections in cystic fibrosis (CF) patients
- Infections associated with weakened immune system due to steroid use/ radiation

Bacteriophages are natural enemies of bacteria; they are viruses that can attack only specific bacteria; hence, destroy the cause of infectious disease. The 80 years’ experience of the Eliava Institute of Bacteriophages, Microbiology and Virology in bacteriophage research and application is shared and utilized by the Eliava Phage therapy Center. We can cure antibiotic-resistant infections caused by: Staphylococci, pathogenic E. coli, Pseudomonas Aeruginosa, Streptococci, Proteus, Salmonella, Shigella, Enterococci etc.
