February Herd Time ❤️🐴❤️

14 beautiful women gathered on this wet February day, sandwiched between Valentine and Fire Horse. Heart energy and horse energy are two of the same. They require awareness, authenticity and courage.

Joined this month by we were guided by Lucia and the spirit of cacao plant medicine to drop deep into the heart and then we took that outside to our horse teacher for today - Archie. So many insights and learnings were shared.

It may have been a grey, soggy February day but the fire in our hearts has been stoked and will continue to warmly glow as we head on into the New Lunar Year.

Lesson from my Fire horse - number 2

To me the fire horse energy feels quite feminine in its core being.

I’m not talking about gender here as we all have both masculine and feminine and it’s a scale. But I’m talking wild if not contained.

During my training for the South Direction of the Shamanic Medicine Wheel. Our teacher gave us a metaphor that I love, to describe what masculine and feminine energies actually are.

The feminine is the powerful flowing water of a river - if it’s not contained by the river banks - (the masculine) - then it can flatten and destroy.

This is not too dissimilar to lesson one - it’s about harnessing both though. Knowing when to rise and swell with the feminine energy that is a creator and a forward moving force. Whilst at the same time keeping it contained and safe so as not to destroy. It’s that point of Tao in the middle. Don’t build the banks too high so that your river can no longer flow but equally make sure they are solid enough to direct that energy exactly where you want it to travel.

When I work with my little fire horse, intention is everything - being aligned and coherent - raising the energy when necessary and bringing it down when everything becomes too much - a sea saw but when you get it right - that little fire horse is like butter and we dance together with no words

I don’t often post testimonials as I don’t tend to ask for them but this morning I received this from a client this week. The client had an Equine Enlightenment session. These sessions are always used for people that just want a taster of what the work is about. They never fail to show up exactly where the clients attention needs to be guided on their healing journey. If a client undertakes a ‘Rewild The Soul’ programme we then take what we have learned from this session and build on it to release, call in and heal deeply.

The ‘love thyself’ phrase came into my head as the client was sharing the most tender moment with one of the horses where she was gently breathing onto the clients neck. Very profound and remarkable we both heard the same thing at the same time. A message from his horse ally for sure.

Lessons from my fire horse - number 1!

If you think you can come into my personal space with no awareness - not noticing how it’s impacting me? TRY IT!

I believe that we will start to see a lot more people asserting themselves during the fire horse year, being super clear about what is acceptable to them and what isn’t.

You may have heard that there’s going to be a split in the reality that people are experiencing. It begins here - what doesn’t resonate will not be tolerated.

What my fire horse has taught me about this and how to earth the situation?

I have had to take the time to show him that I see him and feel him and get him. This in turn makes him feel SAFE. I have had to give him time to learn that I am no threat and how to regulate his nervous system when new challenges present themselves. From that place we can find a space where we both feel comfortable.

It’s really important that this is done consciously before it escalates and the fire burns down villages. If I left this behaviour unchecked and he continued to believe that I or other humans were a threat and he needed to protect his personal space then you can see where it would end up. Not pretty. A bossy, aggressive horse that uses attack to defend.

You don’t fight fire with fire, throw earth on it and take away the air.

There’s going to be a lot of air about in this fire horse year as we move from Pisces into Aquarius - air is of course fuel for the fire so it’s going to be so important that individually and collectively we practice our grounding rituals.

With guest speaker Lucia Faith 💚 Healing Hands Guernsey

Lucia really needs no introduction. Most people will be familiar with Lucia’s work as she has been walking the path and supporting so many of our Islanders on their healing journeys for many years.

During this Herd time Lucia will be guiding us in the ritual of cacao to open the heart and connect with this subtle yet powerful feminine plant medicine.

We will be on the brink of stepping into the fire horse energy and we will use this time to connect to the grounding energies of cacao and remember how to ground in times of this new invigorating and fast paced energy that we are about to experience.

The work with the horses will allow us time to observe the horse and contemplate and discuss what they mean to each of us as that will also help to guide you in the upcoming year in what horse energy actually is.

Shadow work 👥

Over the years working with my clients and my horses I’ve seen time and again how the horses have a unexplainable gift of getting straight to people’s shadows - what’s lurking beneath that needs to come up into the light.

Shadow work as a phrase sounds quite daunting. We don’t want anyone to know about our deep shadows, that’s a scary prospect! Sometimes there’s stuff hidden deep that we may never have told a soul. But the thing is - if you leave those shadows in the depths and never bring them to light - they will ALWAYS own you.

You may have to use bigger and bigger coping strategies to try and outrun them.

What may seem hard to face, somehow with a horse becomes easy. No judgement just support.

It’s actually way easier to work with a horse and deal with your shadows than to keep trying to outrun them.

2026 isn’t going to let you carry on running- it’s time to turn and face and look within.

Notice what triggers you for there in lies the gift — that person, people, situation - if it activates something inside you then it’s probably worth taking a closer look at.

Fame, power, influence, status, money - what do they all feed - EGO!

What does ego do - tries to keep you safe.

Meanwhile that wounded inner child remains wounded and the patterns keep repeating.

The recent headlines of a very influential family are a shining example - you can literally see the walking wounded trying to keep themselves safe - at what cost?

The most important relationship of all - parent and a child - trashed. A sacred bond just thrown to the vultures.

Do the inner work people - live a life of peace and love and break these cycles of pain.
