Last year’s Paint & Sip wasn’t just another fun activity on campus — it genuinely shifted something in our trainees and in the guests who came. Watching our young people—many of whom are still rebuilding their confidence—sit side-by-side with donors, friends, and supporters, laughing over paint splashes and proudly showing off their art, was something special.

For some of them, it was the first time they’d shared their stories in such a relaxed, creative space… and the way our guests listened, encouraged, and connected made the day unforgettable. The artwork was beautiful, yes — but the human moments? Even better. The trainees left feeling seen, valued, and motivated, and our guests left with a deeper understanding of the lives they’re helping shape.

And guess what?
We’re doing it again… and it’s going to be even bigger, brighter, and more fun! 😍💛

At Hope Training Institute, our mission extends beyond teaching vocational skills. We are committed to transforming lives and offering every young person a powerful fresh start.

Many of our trainees are teenagers who have been welcomed from the streets of Accra, often with little or no formal education. Alongside hands-on training, they receive functional literacy lessons, learning to read, write, and apply basic mathematics. These essential skills build the confidence they need to truly thrive.

Recently, we celebrated the incredible achievements of our 14th graduating class. We want to take this moment to thank you - our guest speakers, board members, families, donors, and sponsors - who contributed to the success of that memorable ceremony. Your support is what keeps this project and their hopes alive.

The celebration may be over, but what does "forging a future" truly look like after graduation? We do it by supporting the tangible results of their hard work. We therefore, invite you to be part of this journey in the lives of these trainees.

Who We Are

Village of Hope is a Ghanaian non profit that runs a residential children's home, a hospital, an elementary school, a high school, and a training program for street-connected teenagers and other disadvantaged youth. The skills taught at the training institute include sewing, leatherworks, kente weaving, hairdressing, and auto mechanics. At the end of training they receive equipment and some seed funding to run their own small businesses.

Past trainees, current trainees and their instructors supply the products for "Off the Street by Village of Hope" to raise funds to train more youth and get them off the streets, and generate income for those now working on their own.
