Today, the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Team proudly marked the annual World Hearing Day with a public education session aimed at raising awareness about ear and hearing health.
This year’s theme, “From Communities to Classrooms: Hearing for Every Child,” highlights the importance of ensuring that every child has the opportunity to hear, learn, and thrive. In line with this, the team engaged patients and their relatives, providing valuable information on the causes, prevention, early detection, and proper management of ear and hearing conditions.
The celebration goes beyond the Hospital walls. As part of the week’s activities, the ENT Team will extend its outreach to schools and communities, targeting health workers, school children, families, and policymakers.
The goal is to strengthen awareness at every level — from homes and classrooms to healthcare facilities and decision-making tables.
Hearing loss can affect communication, education, and overall quality of life, especially in children. Through education and screening initiatives, the team is promoting early identification and timely intervention, which are key to preventing long-term complications.
Together, we can build a future where every child has access to healthy hearing, because healthy hearing supports learning, development, and inclusion.
