Earlier this month, our team hosted the inaugural WARA CEOs Summit, bringing together senior leaders to explore the theme: “Leveraging Compassionate Leadership for Organisational Performance.”

The event featured a keynote by Caroline Zagel, Psychologist and NLP Practitioner, who shared compelling insights on how empathy-driven leadership can improve employee wellbeing, boost engagement, and foster long-term organisational success.

With 28 leaders in attendance, the summit provided a meaningful platform for dialogue around mental health in the workplace.

Our team recently organised an in-person event for our WARA Plan subscribers. The event had interactive sessions around the latest WARA operational updates, and our Medical Director also shared insights on the rising threat of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and infectious diseases in Ghana. The panel discussion around emergency medical services in Ghana also allowed guests to participate in meaningful conversations with our team and other industry leaders from the energy and manufacturing industries.

Meet Abena, our dedicated Medical Coordination Centre supervisor! It has been an amazing 8 years since she began her career adventure with WARA. Driven by her growth mindset and creative abilities, she delved into the world of medical coordination, where she thrives in a fast-paced environment.

From overseeing the scheduling of daily medical appointments within our three clinics and third-party facilities, to coordinating ground and air medical evacuations from offshore and remote sites, Abena’s role goes beyond just a job. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence ensure that she delivers the best service to our customers daily. She shares that “working as the team lead for the medical coordination centre is a very fulfilling experience which allows me to be a shining beacon to help customers and my team weather through the storms and challenges of life and emerge as their very best self.”

Abena and her team are always just a call or email away, ready to warmly support our WARA patients.

World Heart Day was celebrated across our three WARA clinics in Ghana. Our clinic subscribers were invited to participate in free health check-ups and awareness sessions around cardiovascular health. They also benefited from free BMI, blood pressure, ECG and rapid lipid tests. This is part of our continuous health promotion initiatives at our clinics and client sites, where we support the health of our clients' employees through preventative health check-ups and advice. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success! Together, we are taking steps towards better heart health. ❤️

Our WARA clinics are open 24/7 for emergencies and urgent care. GP consultations are available to our WARA plan subscribers between 8:00 to 21:00 every day of the week. Our team looks forward to welcoming you for any health concerns you might have!

WARA Connect Mornings: a new initiative where we invite both our WARA plan subscribers and non-subscribers to visit us at our WARA clinics and ambulance bases in Accra, Takoradi and Kumasi.
