Dr. Emmanuel Abbeyquaye Parbie

Dr Emmanuel Parbie Abbeyquaye is a distinguished Consultant Paediatrician with the Ghana Armed Forces Health Service. He completed medical school at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology School of Medical Sciences in Kumasi and residency training at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra.

His professional credentials include Fellowships from both the West African College of Physicians and the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons, demonstrating his commitment to the highest standards in medical practice. He also holds a Diploma in Project Design and Management from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

Dr Abbeyquaye is widely recognised for his substantial contributions to several national health policies addressing both Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases. His work encompasses areas such as HIV/AIDS, Asthma, and Sickle Cell Disease, among others. In addition to policy development, he has played a significant role in advancing medical education in Ghana and internationally. He has taught various healthcare professionals and has published multiple research papers, reinforcing his impact on the medical community.

An experienced leader, Dr Abbeyquaye recently served as the Head of the Department of Paediatrics at the 37 Military Hospital. His extensive background spans both clinical practice and medical administration. He has served as a Medical Officer with the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUC GH9) and with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL GH66) during 2006 and 2007, respectively. Furthermore, he was the Station Medical Officer for the 2 Garrison of the Ghana Armed Forces in Sekondi-Takoradi.

Drawing on his wealth of expertise, Dr Abbeyquaye currently serves a Training Coordinator for the Department of Paediatrics at 37 Military Hospital, where he is dedicated to maintaining high standards of training and patient care. His leadership ensures excellence in both service delivery and the development of future healthcare professionals
