VOLTA/OTI GHANA REGISTERED NURSES AND MIDWIVES ASSOCIATION PAID WORKING VISIT TO ADAKLU DISTRICT

Adaklu Health Directorate (Volta Regional) on the 8th April, 2020. The Volta /Oti Region Registered Nurses and Midwives Association Chaiman Mr Anyigba and other Executives presented sixty (60)pieces of hands Sanitizers to Adaklu health directorate to support the fight against covid 19 in the district during the visit. In a brief ceremony, the District Public Health Nurse Alornyo Anthoanette who received the donation on behalf of the District Response Team for its remarkable gesture.
Speaking for the Association Mr Anyigba said it is the responsibility of the Association to protect their members and the entire health workers against this deadly infection . He assured them that the association will continue paying a working visit to the District. He again took this apportunity to acknowledge the district for protecting their members for providing some PPE's and hand sanitizers . Madam Alornyo Anthoanette passionately confessed that even though the District has not recorded any positive case of the covid 19, the District considers the pandemic as national issue, just as the president indicated that we were not in normal times. The District Public Health Nurse also confirmed that the entired health staff from all categories have taken up the exercise personal in other to prevent the spread of the virus she stated that , " If you see your neighbours beard on fire, you keep water by yours; " A more reason why the District is making all efforts to prevent the pandemic in their District. She also confirmed that the District received Items from the District Assembly and the MP of the constituency. Hon Kwame Agbodza has contributed his quota towards the fight against the deadly disease, she said. She lamented bitterly about the issues of the front line saga and she confirmed that the frontline issues should be well discussed

Good evening dear senior colleagues pls I employ you to take precautions when dealing with our clients remember the virus cannot be detected by just looking at the person face. The spread is more serious than it’s been reported.

1. Pls attend to children who are due for Immunization only.
2. Do not weigh any children at this crucial moment. Refer them to the Nutrition officer if a mother complains of child’s weight lost.
Educate mother on healthy diets for their children
3. Do not embark on any home visit.
4. Ensure proper hand washing and use sanitizer after every Immunization.
5. Protect yourself first at all times. Remember no insurance policy for any health worker as we speak.
6. Do not endanger yourself & your family for anybody not even your medical director.
NB:
If they ask you if you’ve been doing home visitation say yes..... do not go arguing with anyone on why you won’t do home visit.......A word to the wise.
