Torgbui Akamu V was born on 25th September 1982 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Abor, Volta Region. He is known in private life as Mr. Alfred Ganyo Azi alias Sadaco. His father Agba is the son of Azi, the son of Awadzi, the son of Agbemenu, the son of Fiase who was the son of Torgbui Akamu I, the founder of the Akamu Royal Stool. Torgbui started his basic school Education at E.P. Primary School in 1991 and completed it in the year 2000. Though a child and a student, he helped his mother in selling tomatoes, okro, pepper, other vegetables and processed fish. This he had to do during weekdays before going to school and after school. During weekends, he helped the father in fishing and mining salt in the Keta Lagoon, depending on the seasons. All that was to help shore up the family income. This also helped Torgbui to learn a lot at that very tender age. After his basic education, he had a checkered story with secondary education in terms of finance. Torgbui made three separate attempts within eight years at Anlo Secondary School at Anloga, Anlo – Afiadenyigba Secondary School and then Keta Business Secondary School, Keta, all without success due to financial challenges. During these eight years, he kept moving between secondary school education and business to find money to support it. He finally gave up on formal education and started a boutique business and gradually expanded it by adding rental of VCDs, DVDs and sale of TVs Decks, Areeba ( MTN ) and SIM cards. In the year 1995, when now Lawyer Hope Agboado who was a lotto writer then got admission into Keta Secondary school, Torgbui took over his writing desk and started as a writer in addition to his flourishing boutique business. Torgbui wrote lotto for Coach Lotteries from Aflao, Pocolo Lotteries from Keta , Roll Lotteries from Akatsi and graduated to become one of the agents for St. Torgbui decided to stop the lotto work in the year 2002 to concentrate on his other businesses. In the year 2008, Torgbui Akamu V ventured again into the Salt business. He joined a Salt Export Agency from Ada which was buying salt from Anlo - Afiadenyigba. In this new business, he bought salt as an agent for traders from the Northern Region of Ghana, Niger, Burkina Faso, Benin and other African countries. He was able to make some gains from this business and started his own exportation of Salt into the above-named countries. Arguably, he was the first young man to have started Salt Exportation from Anlo-Afiadenyigba. Having still realized the importance of formal education, Torgbui again decided to go back to school. In the year 2018, he wrote an Entrance Exam and got admission into Accra Business School where he did a Certificate Course in General Management. He went further to do a Professional course at the Institute of Directors, Ghana and completed it in the year 2020 to become a qualified member of the Institute. Torgbui is currently studying for a Diploma in Strategic Management at the Accra Business School . Torgbui is a family man and is blessed with a clear vision for the repositioning and development of the Royal Family, Afiadenyigba and the entire Anlo State. He is kind-hearted full of gratitude and believes that a man who empowers and celebrates others paves the way for his own greatness. Torgbui is an astute International Businessman, a Philanthropist and an Entrepreneur. He renewed his love for the lotto business in the year 2015 and has worked to a dazzling success thus far.
