If you may have Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID), don’t wait! This is not a time to try and get better on your own. The longer you wait to get treatment, the greater the potential damage to your reproductive organs.

Even when PID is effectively treated, the infection may result in other complications (Scar tissue may develop in and around the fallopian tubes and ovaries. It may increase your risk of infertility, ectopic pregnancy or chronic pelvic pain).

You can’t get Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) if you abstain from s*x or use condom or if you have s*x with a partner who does not have s*x with anyone else. That’s always the safest.

Otherwise, please get medical care as soon as possible if you suspect STD. You don’t want the complications.

If you drink or heavily and you continue throughout your pregnancy, you are at risk of damaging both your health and that of your baby. Smoking can directly affect the placenta’s growth, and in later pregnancy it can reduce the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the baby, resulting in a lower birthweight and more chance of a baby.

Smoking doubles the risk of stillbirth or birth defect. Regular or heavy drinking can lead to fetal alcohol syndrome, which damages the baby’s nervous system and inhibits his ability to thrive after birth. Do not drink or smoke before and during pregnancy.
