VDM went to China, the first thing he did was to start accusing Nigerian businessmen/women of ripping people off, without knowing the rudiments of doing business with Chinese.
He just calculated the price difference between China and Nigerian market and start calling people extortionists Upandan.
What VDM doesn’t know is that if you import goods from china, all of them will not be exactly what you expected.
Some might have factory fault while some might be substandard and you can’t return them.
So, you add money to the perfect ones in order to cover the loss.
Sometimes,for you to get a particular product, they might give you terms and condition the quantity of another product you must buy in order to get the particular one that you want.They push you to buy product that doesn’t move market along with the one that move.
VDM did not consider the exorbitant shop rent that run in millions that people pay in Nigeria here,staff salaries ,government revenues,cargo fee,cost of clearing ,incurred losses etc.
All these is on top of that goods.
He just press calculator and boom he started talking.
Now, all of a sudden he has discovered that doing business in China is not that simple and most of the things they showed him were fake.
VDM is trying a lot in this country but sometimes he makes mistake.
My advice to him is to calm down and observe, he will discover more things
and maybe by then he will apologise to the people he called thief Initially.
