🌿 Organic Doesn’t Always Mean Healthy!
In Ghana today, many people assume that choosing organic foods or drinks — like “organic sobolo,” “natural fruit juice,” or “local snacks made with honey” — automatically means they’re eating healthy.
But here’s the truth: you can snack on organic chips, biscuits, or drinks all day and still miss out on the nutrients your body truly needs. 🍪🥤
Even organic foods can be high in sugar, fat, or salt — and when eaten in excess, they can harm your health just like any other processed food.
Healthy eating is not about the label.
It’s about balance, variety, portion control, and mindful choices.
As a dietitian, I always say:
👉 Choose nutrient-rich, whole foods — whether organic or not.
👉 Eat more fruits, vegetables, beans, and local staples in the right proportions.
👉 Pay attention to how much and how often you eat, not just what’s on the package.
Eat smart. Live well. 💚
