Little Edem was born about three weeks ago to a mentally challenged woman who hasn't been cooperative in breastfeeding him.

It has been difficult tracing the relatives of the woman because she can't communicate meaningfully.

A kind woman in the community has decided to take charge of the baby for now to ensure she is well taken off. However, feeding has been a challenge since she doesn't have enough cash to purchase baby foods for the child. Through the kind donation of one of our volunteers, we supported the caretaker with 10 cans of baby food which can only take care of him for a few weeks. We need more cans to save the baby Edem's life. A can is 34 cedis.

Kindly get in touch if you are touched by this story and willing to support in anyway possible.

In one of the pictures below is the caretaker and a nurse who has been visiting to provide support.

Our Co founder, Sherifa Awudu had a amazing time in Canada some few weeks back, when she participated in the Women Deliver Conference, the world's biggest conference on women and health.

Her experience about the conference has been published by Dance4life. Take a read Comrades

For one week, I was in the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, experiencing many things for the first time. My longest airport transit (8 hours), cold main meals, the beautiful yet confusing weather for a Ghanaian, and celebrating Eid away from my family for the first time. Blog f...

Today marks exactly two years since one of our volunteers adopted our beautiful girl. We had tried every means possible to fully rehabilitate this child from malnutrition. Each time we rehabilitated her, she reverted to her old self after spending time with her family alone.

After analysing the situation, inadequate care was identified as the major cause of the problem, so during one of our visits to their home, Justine made a very bold decision to adopt her. I was dumbfounded when she said this. "We need to do more than we are doing currently otherwise we may lose this girl" She said. And the rest they say is history.

Today, our girl is looking better due to the care she is receiving from Justine. She has been enrolled in school and I can confidently say her future is bright.

Join me congratulate Justine for doing a yeoman's job

This child was born without an a**s, so the available means of passing stool was through the p***s. Urine and stool passing through the same medium.

Our team came to the aid of this child and his parents when the call for support was made. We contributed our widows mite in support of this cause and colostomy was done for him at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Colostomy in simple terms is a surgical procedure where a hole is created through the abdominal wall and the end of the large intestine passed through it to form a route for passing stool.

A major surgery would be performed to create an a**s for the child when he is at least one year old.

Today we took time to visit the family of the child that was adopted by one of our members about three months ago.

It was such a wonderful moment for the child and her family who hadn't seen each other all these while. In their own words, the child had completely changed and developing really fast and they had no regrets releasing her to us.
