You are unwell, you go to the hospital. You put your hospital card in the box at the OPD and wait for a nurse to pick it up and send to the Records room to get your folder. There is another nurse at the OPD checking vitals - BP, temperature, etc. and recording it in your folder.

After checking yours, which takes about an hour because there is only one nurse doing all that work, you are directed to sit in front of a consulting room where another nurse calls you into the consulting room.

In there, the nurse preps you so the doctor can examine you. She takes you back to the OPD to recheck some vital signs like temperature if need be.

If you need to be admitted, the nurse takes you to the ward and makes you comfortable. She administers your drugs on time, gets you food and cares for you, dresses your wounds, does for you anything you cannot do for yourself.

Can you imagine a hospital without nurses? Sadly, it is happening now. Nurses are on strike.

I think nurses form the backbone of the healthcare system everywhere and it is very unfortunate that government has looked on for them to go this far, especially in these covid-19 times. Innocent people will die preventable deaths.

I suggest that instead of threatening these nurses with lawsuits and salary slashes because they resorted to a strike, they should rather be pampered and treated with respect. When the virus came and we were all hiding in our houses, they kept going to work and taking care of the sick. Some of them died in the process.

Nurses deserve better wages and better conditions of service. They need to be heard.

Plant oils are usually extracted from different plants, especially the seeds. Just like most fats, the oils help to make food palatable, and can be used for purposes of cooking. There are many varieties of plant oils today and there seems to be no end in sight. In the local supermarkets today, there are different oils that you can choose to purchase because they are readily available.

Humankind, both men and women have always been fascinated by breasts. What women see in the mirror are usually far from the firm and perky ideal breasts portrayed by the media. The medical term given to sagging breasts is known as PTOSIS. Several women have considered several ways (including some bizzare measures) of preventing or reversing this problem just to avoid scorn. People typically pass gas about 20 times a day, and flatulence is an ordinary occurrence. However, for some people who keep farting, it’s a severe problem that can be socially and painfully embarrassing. Flatulence is a normal byproduct of the foods we eat. When our digestive system breaks our food down for energy, it produces gas, which is mainly composed of methane, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen. However, excessive gas can be caused by many other issues.
