URINE COLOR WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT YOUR HEALTH
Urine color is a key health indicator: pale yellow means good hydration, while darker yellow/amber signals dehydration. Red/Pink can mean blood from UTIs, kidney stones, or tumors; Dark Brown/Cola suggests liver issues (hepatitis, cirrhosis) or muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis). Orange can point to liver/bile duct problems or meds, while Blue/Green often comes from food/drugs but can signal rare infections or genetic disorders. Cloudy or strong-smelling urine often points to a urinary tract infection (UTI).
Colors indicating dehydration
Amber/Honey: Mild dehydration; drink more water.
Dark Yellow/Brown: Significant dehydration; drink several glasses of water.
Colors indicating infection or disease
Red/Pink: Blood from UTI, kidney stones, tumors, or even certain foods (beets).
Dark Brown/Cola-colored: Liver disease (excess bilirubin) or muscle breakdown (rhabdomyolysis).
Orange: Liver/bile duct issues (especially with pale stools), or medications.
Green/Blue: Rare genetic conditions, bacterial infections, or certain medications/dyes.
Cloudy/Milky: UTI, bacteria, crystals, or fat in urine.
Strong Ammonia Smell: Dehydration or potentially a liver issue.
Sweet Smell: Can signal diabetes.
