My Doctor will not listen!!!!
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
I want us to take a second look at this article
http://medcirclesgh.com/medical-errors-and-malpractices-in-ghana/
Yesterday I was fortunate to listen to the story of a client who complained bitterly about the behaviour of some of the professionals in the our hospitals.
The Doctor will not listen to her. He says "I have been doing this work for over fifty years and you can not tell me what to do". Really!! Fifty years in medical practice is a great service but have you equipped yourself with the new inflows in medicine.
How can you do the same thing for fifty years? The prescription oriented medical practice has change and you can't impose on patients what you like, considering the fact that most patients have read thoroughly about their condition.
They will resist it and abandon you if you insist. Medical practice has change and every professional has to know this. You can be successful and receive more referrals as a clinician if you;
1. Listen to your patients.
2. Listen to their history very well.
3. Don't assume for them and allow them to talk
4. Take interest in the patient.
5. Above all, be conscious that your service is for the well being of humanity.
