Even with limited resources Lately… we’re STILL HERE.
STRONGER AND PASSIONATE THAN EVER, standing with the COMMUNITY, FOR THE COMMUNITY.

For us, FOOTBALL is a inspiring game with OPPORTUNITIES ⚽
A MEANs to find space for PREVENTION and educate about HEALTH, SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGHTS (SRHR), CONTRACEPTION, GENDER EQUALITY, FAMILY PLANS, in Communities and Schools, where these topics still absent or treated as SECRET.

And once again… WE ARE HERE. NORTHERN REGION, GHANA

NOT because Christmas is coming.
But because WE ARE HERE every day, all year, 24/7. Sometimes broken But STILL HERE ✊ ✊

WEE-North: Empowering Women in Trades

Whizzkids United is proud to partner with WEE-North in delivering 'Creating a Level Playing Field'. WEE-North provide young women with the opportunity to train in male-dominated trades. These vibrant and motivated young women have undergone intensive training in carpentry, plumbing, tiling, bricklaying, painting, POP, and electrical work at St. Mary's Technical Institute and Tahamayili Vocational and Technical Institute.

Whilst WhizzKids United isn't in anyway politically inclined, we as a team find it almost immoral to remain silent whilst genocide and state sponsored terrorism is taking place in Ukraine at the hands of the Kremlin under an evil dictator Putin. Ukraine we pray for you and share the shock and sadness of what is happening. We'll be asking out investment partners to allow us to donate 10% of their donations for WKU to be given to the Red Cross as they seek to support the fleeing mums and children.

Wishing you all a very happy and safe CHRISTmass. Thank you all so much for your support and help through what has been a difficult and unusual year to say the least. That said; we've worked tirelessly to help meet the needs of the youth in an ever changing covid 19 environment and too that end, i think, very much succeeded. Let's also take a moment to remember those that didn't make it and ask God to bless their families and keep them. We'll see you all in the New Year, much love team WKU xx

The impact our Program Partners made in 2019 is in some respect going to look a LOT different from the impact they're making right now – and we're making sure to meet them where they are.

Today we're shining a light on one Partner in particular, WhizzKids United: A youth HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment and support program that uses football as an educational medium to facilitate healthy behavior change. Last year, WKU did AMAZING work filling in the knowledge gaps around SRH and HIV for thousands of young people, providing psychosocial and empowerment services simultaneously (because they know that we can't separate mental health from physical health – especially when it pertains to sexual and reproductive health).

In March of 2020, WKU pivoted OVERNIGHT to fill the intense need in Pietermaritzburg, becoming a workshop and producing some of today's most crucial safety items.
