The women's leadership of the Kpilying community, representing their group under our 100WEEKS Cash+ Project, paid a visit to our space in Jakarayilli. The visit was an opportunity for them to greet the team and share their appreciation.
While they were hoping to meet some members of the national team, our Programs Manager, Munifatu Imoro, warmly welcomed them and explained how the partnership between our team and the Accra office works to ensure the success of the project. She assured them that their greetings and appreciation would be extended to the country team.
Sharing the impact of the project with our Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, the groupโs secretary, Noah Martha, spoke about the transformation the project has brought to their lives.
โThere were days when our children in Senior High School would call home for even GHC10, and it was difficult for us to send. But now, many of us have started small businesses through the Cash+ support, and things are changing.โ
She humorously added, โNow our children even remember our meeting days more than we do.โ
On behalf of the team lead, Munifatu also shared words of encouragement with the , urging them to continue taking their weekly lessons seriously. She emphasized how the knowledge and skills they gain through the training sessions are essential for sustaining their businesses in the modern world.
She further thanked the women for making the long journey to Tamale, noting that they rented and fueled a tricycle (โYellow-Yellowโ) to make the trip, a clear demonstration of the impact and the value they place on the project.
Partnerships like this allow us to directly impact the lives of our constituents, especially women and children, by strengthening economic resilience, improving livelihoods, supporting access to education, and promoting better nutrition. We are grateful to 100WEEKS for their partnership and commitment to empowering rural women through the Cash+ Project.
