We are grateful for the support of the Being Initiative, which continues to strengthen our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) efforts across Tamale, Yendi, Gushegu, and Kpandai. Together, we are empowering young people with the skills to understand themselves, manage emotions, make responsible decisions, and also build healthy relationships.
Through our Anti-Bullying Clubs, teachers, trained peers, parents, and mental health officers are working hand in hand to create safer, more nurturing learning environments where every child feels seen, heard, and protected.
We remain committed to ensuring that no child faces bullying alone and that every classroom becomes a place where confidence, empathy, and positive behaviour can thrive.
This , we celebrate innovations supporting children's social and emotional learning in schools.
๐ฌ๐ญ In Ghana, Inspire to Act's Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program, supported by the Being initiative, is helping students from age 10 and up build the social-emotional skills they need to address bullying and create safer learning environments across schools in Tamale, Yendi, Gushegu, and Kpandai districts.
The program facilitates Anti-Bullying Clubs that feature SEL lessons led by teachers and trained peers, using animated videos or printed storyboards with relatable characters. These resources allow students to develop essential skills, such as self-awareness, self-management, decision-making, and healthy relationships, enabling them to respond to bullying with confidence and empathy.
๐ช Parents and school counsellors are also engaged to reinforce learning and support safe, supportive school environments.
