Community 22 Polyclinic is deeply appreciative of the government’s initiative to construct an ultra-modern maternity block for our facility as this project further strengthens the Polyclinic’s resolve to transform the healthcare landscape through excellence and innovation.

Management wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Ernest Norgbe; the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Freeman; the Coordinating Director; the Director of Health Services, Ashaiman; and all distinguished guests who graced the sod-cutting ceremony of our ultra-modern maternity block. Your presence at the ceremony is a clear demonstration of your commitment to the health and well-being of our community.

This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in our journey toward providing quality and accessible healthcare services. The project will significantly enhance our maternal and child health delivery, improving outcomes for mothers and newborns alike.

Today, at our Pregnancy School, we educated expectant mothers on the importance of breastfeeding for their babies' wellbeing and lifelong benefits. Breast milk is tailored to meet each baby's unique needs, providing optimal nutrition and a strong foundation for a healthy life.

ANNUAL CHILD HEALTH PROMOTION WEEK :

Our facility leveraged this celebration to promote child health through education, immunization exercises, and food demonstrations. We were honored to have Tema International School join us, providing mothers with crucial exercises to enhance their well-being and that of their fetuses.

This year's event was exciting and informative, with mothers leaving with valuable packages. We encourage family members and neighbors to support mothers in need and advise them to seek medical attention promptly if they notice any changes in their child's condition.

As part of the World TB Day Celebration,

Community 22 Polyclinic joined the global effort to raise awareness about tuberculosis (TB)!

Our team:

- Conducted sensitization programs across various units, emphasizing the importance of early detection and screening.
- Delivered informative talks at the Outpatient Department (OPD) and Antenatal Clinic (ANC), spreading the message that TB is curable!

The Community 22 Polyclinic's first stakeholders' meeting was a resounding success! Held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, the meeting brought together key partners, including the Municipal Director of Health Services, Dr. Sophia Quist, representatives from the Municipal Assembly, law enforcement agencies, businessmen/women, neighboring schools, churches,mosques , hospitals, and philanthropic agencies.

Achievements Highlighted
The head of the facility, Dr. Godfred Takyi presented the polyclinic's impressive achievements in 2024, including:

- Clinical Achievements:
- Zero maternal mortality
- 60% reduction in stillbirths
- Increased OPD attendance from 15,475 to 19,709
- Total deliveries increased to 656
- 301 surgeries with no surgical site infections
- Infrastructure Development:
- Newly constructed Antenatal Block
- Laboratory expansion
- Stores expansion
- Creation of a VIP(special) Ward
- Canteen under construction

Future Plans and Partnerships
The hospital administrator ,Mr. Stephen Agbenyo facilitated a brainstorming session, where representatives shared ideas and made promises to support the polyclinic's mission to become a beacon of hope and excellence in healthcare delivery. The municipal health director concluded the meeting by commending the polyclinic's exceptional achievements and seeking sponsorship to complete ongoing projects.
She also emphasized the need to partner to eliminate malaria by 2030.
