BREAST CANCER AWARENESS WALK AND A SYMPOSIUM.

Issued: 23/10/22

As nurses, we collaborate with all other Healthcare Professionals in the care for the population. Critical in this is health promotion and disease prevention through awareness campaigns.

For the purpose of collaboration, NSA received an invitation from the University of The Gambia Medical Students' Association (UniGaMSA), to participate in it's breast cancer awareness walk and symposium.

Slated for Saturday, 29th October, 2022, the event will comprise of a match pass from traffic light to westfield, and a symposium on breast cancer awareness by prominent health professionals at the youth monument in Westfield.

On this light, the 7th executive council urges it's members to honor the invitation and partake in this very important campaign. For this will strengthen the bond between the sister associations, and open doors for future collaborations.

NSA CALLS FOR A CONGRESS!

In fulfillment of it's constitutional mandate, the 7th executive council of NSA hereby invites it's members for a congress. This decision came after so much effort by the council in making sure that the constitution prevailed.

Leadership without accountability is vague, and leaders must stand the test of criticism to which congress creates a room for. Members are therefore encouraged to take this opportunity and hold their leaders accountable for what they were entrusted to serve.

Sometime in January this year, a group of individuals were entrusted to serve, and serve only the interest of it's electorates. Has this promise been fulfilled or forfeited? the congress has the answer.

Date: Friday, 21st October, 2022.
Time: 11:00am to 13:00hrs
Venue: SMAHS Hall

NSA CONGRATULATES IT'S PARTICIPANTS FOR THE VCNC 2022.

The 7th executive council of NSA wishes to congratulate it's participants for the just concluded Debate Competition (VCNC).

It could be recalled that on August 15th, 2022, NSA introduced it's representatives for the said competition. These were individuals who in their undiluted love for the association, volunteered to take the challenge, compromising their time, energy, and resources.

With hard work, dedication and love for the association, after several tough battles, NSA made it to the final and emerged the second runner up for the competition.

Plz join the 7th executive council to congratulate these selfless, hardworking and competent representatives for their job well done.
To our participants, a big congratulations, and we're grateful for your representation. we couldn't have better representatives.

Representatives/participants:
Mr. Tawulleh Keita - IPRO, NSA.
Mr. Ebrima Gibba - Auditor, NSA.

VC SEMI-FINAL WEEKEND FIXTURES

As the peak of the VC tournament draws nearer, coaches and strategists of different sub-associations drawing a blueprint of their seemingly do-or-die debut, we are glad to unveil the fixture for the VC Semi-Final.

Saturday, the 1st of October will be dressed with a titanic clash between SoSHSA and AESSA. As we anticipate a finalist to the D-day, it's worrying to wonder if the Socialists will divulge their humanist mercy against the environmentally "agricultured" green figures or unveil the greener antidotes of the would-be farmers.

As we giraffe to Sunday, 2nd October, the "Old Boys", second parents of the terrain of the physicists are drawing their scheme of work to manifest the methodology required in calculating the chemical formulas of the bio-chemists.

Who will befittingly symbolize the battleground of Putin and Zelenski in the VC tournament? Join us at the FIFA Goal Project at 4:00pm on Saturday and Sunday to be your own judge.

UTGSU-EC HOLDS ORIENTATION FOR ITS VOLUNTEERS

The university of the Gambia Students’ Union Electoral Commission has on the 24th of September, 2022 held an orientation for its newly appointed volunteers from the University of The Gambia.

The volunteers were introduced and oriented on essential issues such as the election procedures, electoral rules, the EC’s code of conduct and so on.

The UTGSU EC volunteers' pledge was also provided for and signed by the volunteers for them to respect and abide by the fundamental principles (particularly guiding the UTGSU-EC) enshrined in the UTGSU Constitution.

Further, the pledge signing was done primarily to subject the volunteers to comply with the code of conduct of the UTGSU Electoral Commission, to keep the EC’s information confidential, to remain objective and impartial and to stay aloof from any activity that involves UTGSU politics.

This is geared towards ensuring volunteer loyalty and effective election and safeguarding the integrity of the UTGSU Electoral Commission.
