Two of our dedicated volunteers Cherno Jallow and Bintou Bayo joined the Helpers4Health organization last weekend to provide free eye testing and examination for community members in Gunjur. Today is International Volunteers Day 2020 and the theme for this year is: Together We Can Through Volunteering.
On this day, we would like to acknowledge the selfless efforts and services of our former Program Manager Mr Abdoulie Ngett. Mr Negtt is a Senior Cataract Surgeon at Sheikh Zayed Regional Eye Care Services under the National Eye Health Program, Ministry of Health of The Gambia.
On several occasions, Mr Abdoulie Ngett provided lunch and refreshment for our volunteers when we travel to the provinces for our free eye screenings and sensitization activities. He also provided shelter, food and clothing for less privileged elderly people with cataracts who do not have family members to accommodate them when they come to kombo to do their eye surgeries at Sheikh Zayed Regional Eye Care Center. During Mr Ngett's leadership, our volunteers were able to conduct several community activities in CRR.

We would like to thank him for everything he has done for the organization within a short period.

Happy International Day to all volunteers around the world!
