Over the past year, Midwives and midwives have put in a lot of work to provide you with updates.

In partnership with our donors and board members. We have been able to provide donations to approximately 70 households in the Faraba area and families in the Basse area during this Ramadan. Along with providing food to the Islamic schools in the Sanyang district, we also regularly provide bread and cooked meals to the closest mosques, such as the Serekunda, JESHWANG, and Mariama K***a mosques feeding over 1000s a day.

The man sitting with the two MAM volunteers is Mr. Yaya Ceesay. Yaya Ceesay has been a board member of Midwives and Mothers over the past years and has been really helpful and supportive. He has donated quite a lot of times and has really been concerned about the welfare of the Gambian women through Midwives and Mothers. Our organization is aiming to shine the spotlight on maternal health. In the future, we plan to help financially and physically provide care to help reduce maternal mortality.

1. VOLUNTEER: There are tons of ways to help out in your community through direct action.

2.HELP: Even helping one individual can make a small change for the better.

3.EDUCATE YOURSELF: There are many ways that poverty is linked to reproductive rights, to workers rights, and to environmental justice.
