Before booking your flights, check out these 'Good To Fly Dates' I gathered from the Tong Shu.
Here are the charts for March, April, and May; as well as the year chart (in case you don't know the year you were born in).
Most often, we plan our travel/vacation without considering doing so on a good day, energetically. While we can choose a 'good' day from the Tong Shu, it is important to factor in your year of birth to prevent any negativity from year/month clashes, etc.
Remember: if you were born before February 4 you must consider you were born the previous year due to the new year beginning usually on February 4 for Feng Shui purposes.
Therefore, the good fly dates shown here include EXCEPTIONS for individual birth years. If your birth year is NOT listed as an exception, you should be good to go!

Salt Water Cure Recipe:
1 wide mouth glass container
Coarse salt, filled to 2/3rd full
6 metal coins
Water proof plate/base
Water filled to about 1"below the rim
Set the glass container with plate on a stable surface which will not need to be moved during the year.
Add the salt first. Then add the 6 coins.
Select a day, from the annual tong shu calendar which has one of the positive day officers and is a good day for you personally. Bear in mind a Remove Day Officer is usable to install a Salt Water Cure since your intent is to remove a source of negativity from your house/room. On this day, fill the container with clean water.
DO NOT TOUCH this assembly with bare hands! Use vinyl/rubber gloves or tongs is you must move it.
Add water regularly as the water will naturally evaporate over time.
Once the energetic year is finished, dispose of the entire assembly, including the base.

If you are looking to build, buy, move, or find a solution; it's a good time to get informed about the energetic influences of your home space. And better yet, do something about it!
Let's take a look at each sector (February 2026 to January 2027):
Southeast - Year Wealth Star #9!
Use the door in this sector, open a large window here regularly, add a moving water fountain, declutter this area to attract increased earnings potential and reasons to celebrate into your property. Do check your main Chi Map though FIRST to be sure you do not have a main negative chi source here to start with.
Northeast - Star #4 and Dragon Virtue Star (NE1 - Ox Animal sign).
Star of Peach Blossom, academic success, travel, romance, networking and overall attraction. Use this area for your office or desk location to assist with growing your network, help in achieving your study goals , and attracting clients/partners. Sleeping in this area will help to attract new friends/romantic partner. While this star is generally neutral, there can be some side effects if met with negative forms. Do check your northeast sector for ore-existing negative chi before running to set up your desk/bed here. You may activate the NE1 to receive assistance in overcoming obstacles in your path. Again, selecting a 'good' date for such an activation is most effective!
South - Annual Star #5 AND Grand Duke (Fire Horse year 2026).
This area is best left undisturbed. Avoid spending lots of time here in 2026. Certainly DO NOT RENOVATE here! It is better to sit with your back to the south direction and face north, to gain support from the year energy. Whenever possible, sit for long periods facing one of your personal supporting directions (related to your gua #). Or, with your back to your personal Sage direction (true power house direction). If you must use this area, check with your trusted Feng Shui practitioner for advise.
North - Clashing with the year sector and Star #6.
Highly advisable to leave this area undisturbed in 2026. Avoid sitting with your back to the north direction. To do so will put you in a confrontational position with the year energy. Especially if you have the Rat sign in your chart (hour, day, month, or year).
East - Star #8 and Fortune Virtue Star (E2 - Rabbit Animal sign)
Usable sector in 2026 (given you do not have pre-existing negative chi in your east sector). While this is no longer the wealth star, it is useful for career growth, especially related to serving others. This is slow and steady money, not the kind that makes you rich. Being physically present in the E2 can foster feelings of happiness and satisfaction in 2026.
Northwest - Star #2.
Once known as the illness star, #2 is slowly transforming into a health star. However, I still suggest placing some heavy metal here if your bedroom is in the northwest. Also, if you spend a lot of time in this area.
West - Star #3.
Arguments, conflicts, mishaps, delays, things going wrong - all things you can prepare for if your main door is in the west in 2026. Sleeping in this room will result in relationship issues with your partner. Usually lighting a candle in the west corner of a regularly used space is enough to mitigate the negativity associated with this star. Note that star #3 can also bring surprises!
Southwest - Star #7 and Sun Star (SW1 - Goat Animal sign)
Generally associated with deceit, wrong doing, betrayal...if you have no pre-existing negative or untimely stars in your southwest, you can use a small water feature here to reduce the effects of this star. No need to invest in expense water features! It is only an annual remedy, after all. If your office, bedroom or main door is here, take extra caution when signing contracts, making deals, or making large purchases. The Goat animal sector CAN be used to mitigation accidental activation of Star #5 but must be combined with Date Selection!
The Fire Horse energy of 2026 seems scary. It doesn't have to be. Pay attention to the supporting energies in your space. Do what you can to mitigate the negative. Make a strategic plan. Think ahead. Don't procrastinate. You will be OKAY!

2025 Flying Stars Update:
February 4, 2025 brings us a welcomed energy shift, opening up new opportunities in the matters of wealth, health and relationships. Below are my notes on the useful sectors for the year; and those areas we must be careful with.
Main Wealth Sector: East
DO NOT PERFORM RENOVTIONS here due to the Annual Three Killings also occupying the East area in 2025!. If your main door is in the East it may bring you increased earnings through long-term employment or self employment. It will support household members in gaining recognition this year. The Star #9 is also closely connected with happy occasions and reasons to celebrate.
Secondary Wealth Sector: Southeast
The wealth influence here stems from boosts in your reputation or recognition for your efforts/actions. The Star #1 assists also with creativity; helping you to improve and fine tune your skills.
Most Dangerous Sector: Northeast
In 2025, it is best to not use the northeast rooms for important activities such as resting or working. As a bedroom, Star #5 will support illness, not being ab to sleep, and trigger relationship problems. As a main room for work or a main door, expect challenges regarding money and external relationships (those outside your close circle). Generally, heavy, unpainted metal in the room/area will serve to weakened the disruptive energy of Star #5. But, do not renovate to install the metal cure. On the bright side, the Sun Star is well positioned in 2025; making it more available to assist with Star #5 accidental activations! Still, better not to disturb in the first place.
Quarrelling/Mishap Sector: Northwest
Expect mishaps, setbacks, nagging obstacles and conflicts in general if the northwest is at your bedroom or main door in 2025. If a bedroom, the disturbance will be more internal, affecting you personally. If this is a main door, the issues will be more external or involve your dealings with those outside your family unit. To weaken this influence, you may burn candles or lamps in this area. NEVER leave fire unattended! For a milder intervention, boost the fire element with sharply pointed objects and the color red if real fire is not practical in your unique situation.
Do what you can with what you have in 2025!

If you are buying a home, now is the perfect time to plot the Qi Map for your new home!
Reach out to your local Feng Shui practitioner with the following details:
1. Physical address of your home
2. The year your home was first occupied
3. The facing direction of the building (usually the side facing the street)
4. An accurate floor layout(s) of your new home
5. Dates of birth of all personals who will be living in the home
What does a Qi Map give you?
1. Locate and activate the current 'Wealth Star' for financial gains
2. Locate and activate the current 'Health & Relationships Star' for health and relationships support
3. Locate your personal wealth sector and know how to activate it for your career growth and financial gains
4. Match the occupants to the best bedroom, for them (more powerful when designing a home from scratch but still doable when purchasing) and apply corrections where needed. This benefit uses BaZi and Classical Feng Shui combined. After all, how to know what is good for you if you do not know what is actually is that you need?
5. Correct energy imbalances before the side effects are realized in your and your family's life
6. Be aware of Annual Flying Star's to tap positive energy and protect yourself form 'not so positive' energy for the year (this portion should also be done two months before the energetic New Year, starting in February each year).

What is a fair price for a set of home plans?
When I first started out in architecture, the standard was a square foot price (something like $.50/sq. ft.). TIMES HAVE CHANGED. Homes are more detailed now, new home buyers put much more thought in their new home, and everyone wants to see the house before it is built - 3D design models.
The only fair price is one that accurately reflects the time and attention the project will realistically need.
To prepare a proper set of home plans takes time, requires serious attention to detail, thorough knowledge of the national and provincial building codes plus knowledge of local development regulations. The designer often needs to search for materials availability in your area, to ensure your project can be completed as prescribed. And, your designer needs a good understanding of the construction process. If your designer is really good, they will also perform site visits to assess the area before preparing any drawings. Most of all, your designer need to be able to listen to you, and properly assess what you need.
For example:
I generally consider $1000 is a fair price for a set of home plans if design work is NOT needed and there are not more than three floors, without and apartment. For this amount you can be sure your plans have all information needed for your builder to complete your project:
- fully dimensioned and noted (checked and double checked)
- NBCC and municipal regulations reviews
- foundation compatible with site grading
- window and door schedules
- structural design (floor joists, beams, etc.)
- building/wall sections as required
If your project will need some design work (you want to touch and feel a little before committing to your home plans); then a fair price can only be determined after having a serious conversation with you to assess your needs and expectations.
If you think you can buy home plans for 1/2 this price, my response is, "Which half won't you be getting?"

What do I need for good Feng Shui?
This is the most common first question new comers to Feng Shui ask. Authentic Feng Shui is far from a one size fits all art. Rather, the remedy needed depends 100% on the unique situation.
Feng Shui is the metaphysical art which enables you to become more aware of the energetic nature of your landed property (home or work place); opening up possibilities to reach your maximum potential by making better use of the energies all around you and by capitalizing on all that works for you, personally.
I know, here in the west Feng Shui has been introduced as the art of placement; placing symbolic items in specific areas of your space as a means to bring the results you are looking for. While placing objects can have an effect when paired with mediation and intentions and you might me lucky enough to strike a hidden nerve within your space. However, this is not how Feng Shui is meant to be applied.
To answer the question, here is where we can all start:
If you are not already aware, in February 2024 plant earth has transitioned to a new energetic period called Period 9. As such, we need to revisit how the energetic forces within our home and work spaces are influencing us in this new era.
1. Pay attention to the south area of your property. The south needs to be present (an 'L' shaped property can have one to three missing sectors). If your property has no south sector you need to either renovate to add the space or sell if you want to tap into the natural life force on planet earth for the next 20 years. If you have a room/rooms in the south, what is there? Does energy flow in this area, is it clean and well organized? Can you see a hill or mountain outside?
Ideally, seeing higher land outside your south area is very beneficial in period 9 (2024 - 2043). If you have , great; but if you are considering making a move in the next few years, pay attention to what is happening on the south side of any property before you move in.
Note: if you have a west hill/mountain visible from your property, this is also a beneficial formation to support you and your family during period 9.
2. Pay attention to water visible from your property. For the next 20 years, the ideal location to see water from a building is North. East is also a beneficial location for water in this new time period. Water is the external influence which directly affects wealth/money matters. If you do not have naturally, it is possible to create a manmade water formation (garden pond, pool, or fountain); BUT, this must be done wit caution and with the help of an experienced Feng Shui practitioner who is also knowledgeable of BaZi and Date Selection methods.
The above notes are very basic and not to be considered as all that is needed to align your home and work space to support you energetically going forward. Every person is born with energetic influences that have profound bearing on their capacity in life, potential health concerns, and how they earn a living; these factors are interpreted with BaZi. To properly apply Feng Shui, it is key to combine personal BaZi with the physical energetic formation of a landed property. Only then real transformation can happen aka noticeable improvement!

Where do I start? I guess it all started when I became a mother. Having a child awakened a dragon inside me that could not be quieted when it came to protecting my child and giving him the best life possible. Classical Feng Shui was for me the final tool I needed to solve the my son’s health issues. Medical professionals could not explain why my son was Autistic nor could they offer any useful treatment. Because western medicine failed us, I turned to the east. Our life quality improved greatly when we started thinking holistically and seeing our home in a new light - energetically. Today Autism is not a factor in our lives, thanks to eastern medicine (herbal remedies, acupuncture, Heilkunst, etc.); natural food (NON-GMO, No Additives, No Preservatives, home grown as much as possible, humanely raised beef, chicken and pork, and home prepared food most often); and Classical Feng Shui.
Living well requires accepting the power of Mother Earth and the influence she has on your life (how you feel, how you respond, how you act, how you live). Kind of like living in a home with a happy mother. When mom is happy, everyone else is too. Mother Earth is happiest when her children respect her and heed her wisdom. Mother Earth is more than feng shui. Mother Earth has the medicine required for any illness her children become afflicted with: herbs, plants, from the ocean, and all things natural.
Because Chinese Metaphysics had such a positive impact on my life, and the lives of those dearest to me I am offering my knowledge to others, publicly, professionally. The world of metaphysics has the power to destroy lives and to save them. The key is to be on the good side of Mother Earth, the universe, and ourselves.
Mother Earth will never guide you wrong.
She may not grant miracles but she will always give you her all.
