This photo has a very deep meaning.

I have one coffee mug.
Bought it when we first got here.
It’s not fancy. It’s not oversized.
I use it every morning, and only it. No rotation. No options. No “just in case” backups.

Back in LA, we had a whole cupboard full—mugs for every mood, every guest, every maybe.
Some were giant. Soup bowls with a handle.
They always reminded me of buffets and chain restaurants—loud, bloated, and pushing the lie that more is better.

But this mug? It’s just enough.
And that’s the point.

It feels good to have one thing you love, and to use it every day.
No clutter. No decision fatigue. No searching.
Just clarity. Simplicity. Ritual.

I’m trying to apply this to everything now.
One thing that works. One thing that feels right.
And letting that be enough.

Maybe freedom isn’t about having more.
Maybe it’s about needing less.

Τώρα γυρεύω λίγη ησυχία
θα μου ‘φτανε μια καλύβα σ’ ένα λόφο
ή σε μια ακρογιαλιά
θα μου ‘φτανε μπροστά στο παράθυρό μου
ένα σεντόνι βουτηγμένο στο λουλάκι
απλωμένο σαν τη θάλασσα
θα μου ‘φτανε στη γλάστρα μου
έστω κι ένα ψεύτικο γαρούφαλο
ένα κόκκινο χαρτί σ’ ένα τέλι
έτσι που να μπορεί ο αγέρας
ο αγέρας να το κυβερνά χωρίς προσπάθεια
όσο θέλει.
Θα ‘πεφτε το βράδυ
τα κοπάδια θ’ αντιλαλούσαν κατεβαίνοντας στο μαντρί τους
σα μια πολύ απλή κι ευτυχισμένη σκέψη
και θα ‘πεφτα να κοιμηθώ
γιατί δε θα ‘χα
ούτε ένα κερί ν’ ανάψω,
φως,να διαβάσω.
