FnB.gr, on behalf of our clients, is currently seeking for talented and experienced Executive Chefs to join our team at deluxe hotels across the Ionian Islands, Mykonos, Crete, Rhodes, and Paros. As an Executive Chef, you will play a key role in the culinary operations of our prestigious hotels, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, and service.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and oversee all aspects of the culinary operations at the hotels, including menu development, food preparation, kitchen management, and team supervision.
2. Create and implement innovative and captivating menus that reflect the unique qualities of the Ionian Islands while incorporating local and international influences.
3. Establish and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service to exceed guest expectations.
4. Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, conducting regular inspections, and training staff on proper procedures.
5. Recruit, train, and develop a talented culinary team, providing guidance, motivation, and professional development opportunities.
6. Collaborate closely with other departments, especially Food and Beverage, to deliver a seamless and extraordinary guest experience.
7. Manage food costs by implementing effective inventory control processes and adapting menus to maximise profitability.
8. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, continuously elevating the culinary offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
9. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, promoting open communication, teamwork, and a strong sense of ownership.
10. Undertake any other duties as assigned by the management to ensure the smooth operation of the culinary department.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a deluxe hotel or upscale restaurant environment.
2. Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognised culinary institute.
3. Extensive culinary knowledge and expertise in a variety of cuisines, with a focus on Mediterranean and international flavours.
4. Strong management and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
5. Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
6. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and presentation.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
8. In-depth understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, with the ability to implement and enforce best practices.
9. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
10. Fluency in Greek and English (additional languages are a plus).
